The new MGMT album is actually pretty damn good. It's poppy, catchy, still roughly as weird as you would expect from them, more upbeat, less psychadelic, and more accessible. The lyrics are a little wack at times, but such is life.
Black Panther soundtrack leads the month for me, hot damn.
Is it fair to vote for that soundtrack when it's 119 songs long?
Are you looking at the playlist on Spotify when you search for "Black Panther soundtrack"? If so, that's not the soundtrack. The soundtrack is under the title "Black Panther The Album Music From And Inspired By," and it has 14 songs.
I don’t know who Jorja Smith (Black Panther Soundtrack) is, but I need more music from her. Her voice is beautiful.
This was my reaction as well. I'm not as big on the album as it seems a lot of other people are but that song is fantastic
Glad she’s getting more love. She was one of my favorite discoveries from the Coachella lineup, and I was pleasantly surprised to find her on this album.
Put it on while I was coming home tonight and then immediately played it again. Might be my favorite R&B since A Seat at the Table
That's a bold sentence, and I wanna listen it now. I mean, if I can stop listening to Beach House.
It's not nearly as good as that record. Just didn't find a ton of R&B that I loved last year. Even SZA or Daniel Caesar, while great, were a little too basic for me
I guess Childish Gambino's record came out after Solange's. This isn't better than that either. But I have a soft spot for Steve Lacey's production and guitar sound, which is all over this EP.
