They must've added some dates. Looking at their tour now, it's very unlikely they come to the states this summer.
Yeah I think a couple weeks back I read about their tour dates this summer, they oddly don't have anything before roo, and I was wondering if they'd come to the States for one day to play there, obviously unrealistic but this is what dreams are made of.

arcadefiretube is saying Outside Lands is most likely the third NA fest AF is playing. Radiohead - Arcade Fire - Drake, maybe? Bassnectar, Diplo in some form, or Calvin Harris probably the top edm name.
This is exactly the reason I've yet to do Sasquatch, Outside Lands, or (mainly) Coachella. It's a hard life livin on the East coast
Ya, don't complain. The East Coast has so many more festivals.
PS the West Coast is a big place. It's a 20 hour drive from Coachella to Sasquatch
But the West has the best of the big fests (Coachella) and I live in Florida, so I will always complain about how far I often have to travel for good fests/concerts. Only Hawaii and Alaska has it worse. Also, I wasn't even keeping it restricted to driving costs. There's a big cost difference in flying from Florida to LA compared to flying up and down the west coast
To be clear, I'm happy with the fests we've got. But, I live in Florida and I'm having to travel to Austin and Chicago to go to fests that I think justify their cost. So it's not like I'm surrounded by amazing fests.

I picked a random weekend in May and looked at flights. A flight from Tucson is 30$ cheaper than a flight from Orlando (no idea where in FL you are but just an ex). I guess it depends on your music tastes but I've lived in AZ all my life and done OSL once (had a good time but pricey to stay in SF and fly or drive 12 hours), Sasquatch once (one of my least favorite fest experiences plus expensive ticket and hard to get to), and never coachella (not my thing). My fest schedule for this summer (and the last two summers) is Shaky Knees, Roo, and Newport all of which would be easier to get to from Florida than Arizona.

Yeah, the cots of staying in San Fran is probably an even bigger reason for me with OSL. That's a bummer to hear about your experience with Sasquatch. Now with more regional fests, it's becoming less of a problem. I did Shaky last year and loved it but the lineup didn't justify it for me this year so I'm doing Levitation (why I'm going to Texas.) I've really just built up Coachella in my head and I REALLY wanna do that cause they always get so many rare acts. It's just the big fests that are close to me aren't worth the price IMO or just never appealed to me: Hangout, Roo, Ultra, Okeechobee. So I'm having to go up North to Lolla (for LCD and Radiohead)
Both coasts have there reasons for being better than the other. Honestly, I'd choose the Northeast over anywhere else in the US for fests and shows cause there are just soooo many fests to choose and everyone plays NYC
