Bob Dylan has announced a summer tour in support of his upcoming new album Fallen Angels, the follow-up to his 2015 album of Frank Sinatra covers Shadows in the Night. The concerts mark Dylan's first North American shows since May 2015.
After performing 13 shows in Japan in April, Dylan and his Band will kick off their U.S. tour with a pair of dates June 4th and 5th at Woodinville, Washington's Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. The 27-date trek will then loop the country before concluding July 17th in Gilford, New Hampshire. Mavis Staples will open all U.S. dates.
Check out Dylan's official site for full on-sale information. As Dylan's site states, all fans that purchase tickets to the summer tour – with exception to gigs in Indianapolis and Boston – will receive a redemption code to receive a CD copy of Fallen Angels. The album's release date has not yet been announced.

I've never seen Dylan. Obviously that's a huge check mark, but I've heard such negative things about the majority of his live shows that I don't even know if its worth the money.

It's all true. Still worth it just to experience the "Bob Dylan Effect" first hand.
Anything anyone can tell me about the Nashville venue? Specifically if the lawn provides decent views or if spending more for assigned seating is important here? Thanks!

I've only been to one show there (Grace Potter/Lake Street Dive). We sat in the seats, so I don't know about lawn. But the sound is great.

I had heard all of the negative things, but disregarded them and finally saw him a few years ago for my own personal check mark. It was worse than I could have ever imagined. When you cannot even recognize your favorite song (Tangled Up in Blue) until halfway through the chorus, it becomes an exercise in futility. Never again.

You and I must have been at the same show. It was agonizing to watch. I kept telling myself, I paid money for this.

and THAT is why I'll be skipping this tour.
I missed my chance when he played in Nashville with Jack White. I've come to terms that I can't see Dylan in any capacity I would actually like to.
