Here we go, 'BUKrewe! Purity Ring, Deorro, Rae Sremmurd, DATSIK, Claptone, Lee Foss, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Break Science, Sweater Beats, and more just announced! We've got some rad additions to the VIP S.S. BUKU and FRONT YARD too!
None of these do shit for me except Break Science. BLARG. Over BUKU this year.

You were looking to dump a VIP?
Two GAs. Jeremy didn't think that we should spend the extra money and wasn't sure it would be worth it this year for us. He was right. I am glad I just bought two GAs. After fees they were $198. I think they are $230 after fees now. Hopefully BUKU sells out and I can get my money back.
wish we had some bigger acts in the float den but it looks like the late shows there will be nutty. hopefully they let GRiZ close it out one night. pretty happy with the adds except deorro sounds weak. the back alley once again looks like one of the most fun stages on any lineup this year. pumped for march!
Pass the Good is doing after parties starting Thursday. They haven't named the headliners for Friday, but Zoogma will be Thursday with Freddy Todd. I'll go to that. Friday is ?, Wick-It ? and Daily Bread. Saturday is Space Jesus, Psymbionic, ? and Krooked Drivers.
I also heard Getter is playing one of the nights at Republic.

Wick-It throws down, caught him at Terminal West in ATL this month
So pumped to finally be making Buku this year!! Chose to opt in for a rare VIP, needed to get on that ship and the viewing areas seemed worth it (open bar can be a bad or good thing). It will be very interesting doing this the weekend after Okeechobee, an 11 and 15 hour drive for me respectively (ouch!) with work and kids in between.
Ultimately the reason I decided to go...Above and Beyond are one of my all time personal favorites, emotionally charged Trance masters (responsible for many of THE classic trance tracks of the past decade). Their headlining set at Moonrise last year was probably the best I have seen them (after a dozen plus sets) and their intimate show (less than 1000 people) at a not even sold out Norva in Norfolk, VA last year was epic once again (their sold out show at the 6000 person Echostage in DC 2 days later just couldn't compare).
After randomly catching like 10+ shows at venues all over the country, will finally catch a Pretty Lights live band set. He was mediocre at best the first night of Basslights this year (and reaffirmed why I hadn't been going to see him anymore), but absolutely crushed it second night (and reminded me why I have seen him so many times, ha ha).
Also excited to catch Griz, Break Science, Miike Snow, Nero, and Purity Ring again. Even ready to catch Chvrches (they were very mediocre when I saw them at Virginfest one year, but I have heard they have really stepped up their game live). So much else too, dance music in general just makes me happy live. Haven't even remotely looked into night shows yet.
Looking for somewhere to stay for Friday and Saturday night, any ideas? Probably going solo so trying to avoid a full hotel by myself (these non-camping fests are always a challenge). Better yet, anyone have any floor or couch space? More than happy to contribute. I am a professional afterall, a responsible delinquent like the rest of you:-)
LMAO billion. Hit it up closer to the fest. I'm 90% going to Zoogma unless Buku has a more exciting option for their official kickoff party.
I just got an email from Buku stating that the last day to change address for shipping is Monday, February 8th. Anyone who moved since their order would go to ticketfly.com, my orders, Buku order, Edit "Shipped To".
It's just about Mardi Gras, so once that's out the way, Buku is next. It's only 5 weeks away, and is the kickoff to festival season for me since I'm not doing Okeechobee or Aura. 5 weeks. I think seeing Pretty Lights (hopefully recharged from his recent blahed out ways) Live will be great. And since they're doing other collaboration stuff that weekend, the party should be on. GRiZ (live) was afterparty last year, but he's playing the fest again and hopefully will have his new album either finished or close to it by March.

Food Vendors, Late Night Afterparties, etc. coming soon. 4 weeks bitch. Obviously bold are the sets that most interest me.
I guess it is officially time for me to start to actually try to sell my ticket. I hate not going but its not worth it for the 9 people that I might see barring conflicts. Probably closer to 5 since everyone I would see is going to conflict.

I got 6 on the first day and 9 on the second. There is plenty of other stuff I will see that I'm not super excited about at the moment. But I'm more in for the night shows this year. I plan on hitting the wee hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Yeah for sure. I'll be on the boat grabbing free drinks all weekend, so that should be easy enough. Agree on GRiZ. I don't care who is opposed, I'll be in the den. He is #1 or #2 (other is PLAFB) going into the festival for me.
I need them to sell out so I can sell my tickets without eating the fees. Come on BUKU.
Same. I've decided against going after realizing that I'd much rather go to Jazz fest. The lineup additions were eh, in my opinion.
I am very disappointed in BUKU this year. I have been going since year 1 and the glaring lack of alt rock just sucks. Definitely all about Jazzfest this year but I had that in my budget already. I am hoping that I get my money back and I can go to another festival instead like Lolla or Riot Fest, since Shakey Knees at this point is pretty much out for me.
I looked at the schedule from last year, this festival is completely different than my original assumption. Looks like it goes from 3-1, perfect timing. And the main stage finishes early, so I'm thinking no overlap worries with Griz and main stage. Looks like the 3rd to last act on powerplant will benefit from the sunset slot (sacred in my book), and my personal favorites, Above and Beyond, probably have the best chance at it.

Going to be a fun weekend!
So are you thinking GRiZ is Float Den set before last which is pretty much headliner? Maybe Baauer closes out? Schedule app and all that shit hopefully comes out later this week or next week at the latest. I'm also ready for the rest of the night shows to get announced. It's getting close and I'm getting pretty pumped about the shit I want to see.
I have two different people asking about my BUKU tickets, I might actually sell these things. I am sad that I am not going, but I just can't justify going with that lineup. I want it to be better so badly. I am crying on the inside.

Lol. I think it's worth it, but primarily because of GRiZ and Pretty Lights. You said you had GA's right? Glad you have people asking for them. I may run into someone looking if you don't sell, so let me know how much you want per and I'll ask around. My nephew just sold his VIP for $450 since he can only go 1 day. He made $125 on that easily. You'd think the buyer would have just logged on and bought one for that price, but people are stupid.

They were $198 each. If I could get more, great. But honestly, I just want to recoup my money. I would check out GRiZ if I went, but I can't justify it for only 9 acts total, and who knows how many are going to conflict.
