Hey everyone, I made a post last week in the Random Thoughts thread linking my travel blog/ trail journal detailing my Pacific Crest Trail thruhike. I though I'd just make a thread and post in it every time I update the journal. Thanks to everyone who is choosing to read it. I'll definitely do a photo dump when I finish the whole thing. Still in California right now, but should cross into Oregon in a few days. Should finish in Canada by late September.
Hey everyone, made it into Oregon. So stoked to be in a new state after 3.5 months of California. Lots of smoke from nearby wildfires. Anticipating some closed trail ahead but remaining optimistic. New post up on the journal. Link is right above in the OP. Thanks for reading.

Thank you for sharing, jpbrez. I loved catching up on your adventure and look forward to reading about Oregon/Washington. There's no way I could do a thru hike of the PCT, but hiking the JMT is on my bucket list. One question, does Brittany have a trail name yet?

yes her trail name is Dandy, but because of me referring to her for so long as Brittany, both on the trail and in the blog, I decided to just keep using her first name.

Great stuff so far, dude. I just got back from camping at Crater Lake and I saw a few PCT hikers in the park. I hope you love it when you get there. Fucking beautiful.
Just read the first two entries, can't wait to catch up and follow along with you! This looks absolutely amazing, and like jfg said, thanks for sharing your adventure
The concept of spending nearly half a year hiking 2000+ miles is completely foreign to me, but extremely intriguing. Something special for sure.
Made it into Snoqualmie Pass, about halfway through Washington. Only 260 miles to Canada. Hoping to be finished in two weeks. Journal updated, link in OP.
If anyone wants an in-depth look at what it's like to thru-hike the PCT, this film follows two guys on a 2014 thru-hike the whole way, along with lots of interviews with other hikers. only 90 minutes, shot with real cameras, not phone-footage. Pretty good music too if you like Caribou and Sigur Ros among others.
