This battle of the birds is a good game. The next game will answer some questions about two teams that are hard to figure out. I think the Vikings defense and Teddy Bridgewater are better than what the average fan expects out of them. Is AP ready to pick up where he left off? What are the Niners gonna be like with the coaching change? Road game but I think the Vikes make an early statement tonight with a double digit win.

Who would you start in fantasy football this week between Stafford and Alex Smith?
Although I have Stafford in the roo league, that's not what I'm asking for. My brother runs a local league with a little more money on the line...and I play him this week.
Sorry Quacker, but is Eli point shaving or is he really that clueless? I just read he told Jennings, not once but twice, to "not score".
Hee-hee. As a long-time Eli watcher I can confirm without a doubt that Eli is that dumb. Simple is as simple does. I mean did you see him snapping the ball with 15-20 seconds on the play clock that whole last drive? What I didn't realize was that it was so contagious that Coughlin and McAdoo were infected and called a pass play on 3rd down.
And I had a pretty good idea where this game was going when that Texas high school ref threw the phantom PI call on DRC. Oh well. Higher draft choice for us next year.

When the end of the game is mismanaged that bad, makes me question their reasoning. Lol, at you, only 2 games in and already talking about draft picks for next year.

Giants will come to play today. Should be a good game @ Atlanta

Where are the Eagles fans who were bragging about all the Chip Kelly moves? Awful quiet...
I dunno, but the flood of articles about "the fall of Chip Kelly" is amazing.
I heard someone say today, that after he gets fired he'll back to college. That part is true, but the hope that he goes to SC, I hope never happens.
Another thing I heard today was someone predicting that the Colts fire their coach after the season and Harbaugh breaks Michigan's heart by taking that job. They made a good point about him reuniting with Luck.

It's certainly possibly the ship sinks in a rather spectacular fashion, but this comment is just as short sighted as everyone proclaiming him to be a mastermind on the cusp of revolutionizing the NFL.
FTR I don't recall ever pimping his moves in this thread either...
At least there was an excuse why Brees sucked so hard on Sunday. That game was miserable. We are in the bottom three in just about every power ranking out right now, and I agree with it. However, Seattle at 0-2 continues to be in the top ten in all of them. Whatever, power rankings are meaningless.
Notable teams at 0-2: Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks. Find me some publications out there that weren't putting the Ravens, Colts, Texans, Eagles, and Seahawks in the playoffs this year.
Notable teams at 2-0: Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets.

There's no way in hell Harbaugh leaves Michigan after one year.

It's been a weird few weeks so far.
I heard on the radio today there have only been 2 0-2 teams that have went on to make the playoffs. Colts last year and Panthers the year before. So odds are only 1 of those 0-2 teams are going to end up making the playoffs this year. Who would you pick?

You have both incorrect facts and complete misunderstanding of odds/probability.
Um... the 2007 Giants won the SB after starting 0-2. I'm not sure which Mike is stupider.
Ok I was only thinking of the last part of the stat (that it has happened the last 2 years). It's only happened 23 times since 1990 when this playoff format started. There has never been more than one team do it in a season. So I did flub the stat. The probability is really low for it happening though.

Not that weird. Falcons pissed away a ton of close games last year. One of the best drafts in recent memories, strengthening both sides of the ball in FA, and adding a new coach that the team believes in can do wonders. That being said, we are only through 2 weeks.

You really don't understand why Seattle (a team loaded with talented players coming off of three straight playoff trips, including one Super Bowl and a near-loss in a second Super Bowl), are still considered a top ten team after losing a tight one to the Rams in St. Louis and at Green Bay, while New Orleans (a garbage team with an aging quarterback, a dearth of skill players and an abhorrent defense) are towards the bottom after losing to the Cardinals and the (dear God in heaven) Tampa Bay Buccaneers? You really don't get that?
Actually, if you had read what I wrote, you'd see that I said I agree that the Saints should be at the bottom. My exact quote, which I'll type out again for you in case you miss it again, was this: "We are in the bottom three in just about every power ranking out right now, and I agree with it." The Saints look like horse shit.
As far as Seattle goes, I understand that they've had a great team the last two years. I think this is why power rankings are so pointless because they are typically based on the writer's feelings and opinions, and not always based on statistics or head-to-head competition.
If they were based more closely on statistics and head-to-head competition, the argument for Seattle is a lot more difficult to make. They are tied for 29th in points allowed, 17th in yards allowed, 19th in yards gained, 14th in points scored, tied for 13th in sacks, and have zero interceptions. They also lost to St. Louis who just lost 24-10 to the Washington Redskins. The Rams are anywhere from 5-15 spots lower in the rankings than Seattle. Yeah, I understand that there are only two games to use for statistical purposes, but I've seen Seattle still as high as 7th.
