I thought you guys weren't going to do it this year? It was pretty fun last year and would have been great if more people showed up. I think it's the wrong time of year since college at UWF and PSC are out at that time. $5.00 mixed drinks were great, and it was pretty chill. We might make it back over there since the cost is negligible, but I'd recommend you guys promote the **** out of it so you can get a few hundred people in there.

Oh no, there was no doubt there would be a 2015 edition. The scale of it was the only thing up for debate. Last year a lot of scene politics got in the way and despite a diverse lineup, there wasn't much to draw a lot of locals. This year a lot more thought has gone into the bookings. Focusing on what works for Pensacola while also bringing a lot of diverse regional favorites. There was a lot to learn from after last year and the street team has only grown since. The initial lineup is out 2 months earlier this year, giving us a lot more time to promote and with some luck, maybe a regional Phish show won't draw a lot of our patrons for the biggest night of the event this time. lol.
Promo teams are in Atlanta for Sweetwater 420 this weekend so there should be some poster sightings popping up there and eventually NOLA too before Jazzfest. Not to mention Hangout, Counterpoint, Purple Hatters Ball and Orange Blossom Jamboree as well. We missed the boat to promote during those events last year so hopefully getting the word out earlier will help draw much more interest!

That's probably Stewart/Stew. He is Pass the Good Entertainment...haha. I'm just the graphics guy for the most part, but we have been working together for almost 5 years now so I am pretty much a part of it all.
He fell on hard times last winter and was debating how much it was worth it. Mainly because of the things you mentioned about Pensacola. After a good spring and some networking, he's still 100% committed. More so now than ever. Venue is still a lock. Talent is a lock (with more to come). The only thing left is getting the word out and getting people to show up!
GHL is awesome. We've had them here almost a dozen times or so over the years and they're always a fav locally or at Suwannee. Those guys get better and better every time I see them. Zach has a huge cult following throughout the panhandle. We're hoping his name alone draws a lot of people who wouldn't have noticed this event otherwise. Two shows from him on the weekend is worth the price alone to a lot of his fanbase. Mad Violinist is playing two of his rare dj shows. I saw him play with his dj at the Counterpoint preparty last year and it was just as much fun as his shows with the Symphony Crack Orchestra. Maybe a lil more EDM focused, but still, we're privileged to get two of these sets from him on the weekend! He sells out Vinyl everytime he comes through. Sometimes even two shows. He's another with a huge supportive fanbase & family in the region.
I have seen Nadis twice now and been blown away by their sets. I really do not understand why more people don't show up for their sets. It always seems like something comes up to interfere whether it be the weather or timeslot issues. Those guys were probably my favorite show last year. Spankalicious played one of the Buku afterparties. I really wanted to go but couldn't make it. He's a cool dude who I had the pleasure of doing tour promo designs for last year after he saw my PTG work. I'm really looking forward to throwing down with him again at the Shrine.
Bath Salt Zombies came on board when I got a tip from a friend in Tampa who caught them at one of the Maddox Ranch festivals. I passed word to Stew to check them out and he loved them so much he booked them immediately for PTG. They're a fun hellbilly fusion band who you definitely do not want to miss! I can't wait to finally see them!

Thanks everyone for your interest! I do not believe we have met yet either Scog, I'm surprised if you haven't met Stew yet since he frequents Suwannee much more than I am able to.
I've been holding off on updating this page as last years venue pulled out before it was finalized. Sometimes these things happen, especially when dealing with a large group of people like the Shriners. This left us having to find a replacement in the middle of festival season while the head promoter was also busy on a promo tour trying to get the word out. I wanted to make sure everything was set in stone before I updated this page.
That said, a new venue has been locked in for a couple of weeks now and the second tier lineup is to be announced today. Since it's already been leaked with permission, I will share the revised poster with the new venue and additional acts added!
On top of these additions, the $50 presales have been extended until July 3rd. On July 4th the price increases to $75 and will only increase to $99 at the gates. Due to the new venue, camping is no longer included in the ticket price, but thankfully it's only $20 per carload extra! Additional details will be coming over the next few weeks and I will share them as they're announced.
Final lineup additions have been made! MARTYPARTY has been added as an additional headliner to the already stacked lineup! Still only $75 until the day of the festival!
If anyone is going to this and is passing thru Gainesville, fl and would have a seat open, let me know and I'll throw in gas money and funny stories =)

Nice! He's definitely throwing some details together at the last minute this year considering how much time he has spent promoting and booking more and more acts. The new venue is going to present some unique challenges, but one bonus appears to be the BYOB deal. It was BYOB in the campgrounds last year, but for the full event, that's a great new twist. It will definitely be one event not to miss and well worth the ticket price! I'm excited to get to the grounds next Thursday and Friday and see how things are setup. Last year was one of the most fun events I have ever experienced in Pensacola, this year should top that! See you there Esteban! I'll be the tall 34 year old dude, most likely wearing a purple hat at some point. haha...

Yeah, that BYOB element is awesome. I'm guessing there were issues with getting a liquor license or permit or whatever. While it sucks he can't generate income off of alcohol sales, just the idea of lugging around an ice-chest to every set is like a festival wet dream for drinkers like me. Now I don't have to go to the bar to get another beer since I already have a 6 pack on me or whatever. And since I don't mind Evan Williams (cheap, but it doesn't give me hangovers), I can get a handle for $17.99 which I probably won't drink the whole thing in 2 days. We'll be going off the rails, as usual, without causing any trouble. But we're going to have to stock the f up on brews and hard liquor. Let me know if you can pry any food information and also when the schedule comes out.
I tried to put together a Top 10 list, but there are at least 60 acts I've never heard or heard of. Many of them being regional Florida acts, don't have much on YouTube. But as it stands now, my Top 10 is looking like:

So what can you tell me about some of the higher people that I have no idea who they are? Those would be Pyramid Scheme, Heritage, Ployd and Monsters with Tiny Moustaches? I know y'all know all those people from other Florida festivals and shows, but I just couldn't find much of anything. Also, if there are any other can't miss bands or DJ's besides ones you or I have discussed, let me know. This is liable to be a wide open schedule since there are so many unknowns for me. Thanks v8.
Of the acts you asked about: Pyramid Scheme is an up and coming EDM production duo from Atlanta. They do mostly trap and festival house style tracks and are on the way to blowing up in no time. They're two of Atlanta's best known producers in the underground game and should be one act you will hear a lot more about in the future.
Heritage is a regional reggae band. They're pretty high on the flyer because they have a huge following along the gulf coast. They to play massive crowds at all of the larger beach clubs year round and surprisingly have a dedicated fanbase that travels for their shows unlike a lot of party rock/reggae bands out there. Not really my cup of tea, but they're good at what they do and should be one of the first acts people come out of the woodwork for on Friday.
Ployd is most DJs favorite DJ. He's a no non-sense, ATL dj who has been steadily booking gigs throughout the southeast for years now. He even played Wakarusa this year. He plays anything bass heavy like most Atlanta DJs so you kinda know what to expect. It'll be deep, loud and dirty.
Monsters with Tiny Mustaches are another up and coming edm production duo. They make a lot of dubstep, trap, glitch hop and dnb. You can probably sense a theme. BASS heavy...They're another name to look out for as they've already had several tracks on the beatport charts in multiple genres.
Other can't miss acts: Spankalicious & Alejo. They're from the midwest and are creating a whole new psychedelic bounce genre. Spacey, atmospheric beats with hard hitting bass that will move a dance floor. They incorporate a lot of live aspects into their shows too including digital drums.
MZG is Monozygotik, which is Zak the Blak from Greenhouse Lounge and his twin brother Sir Charles. They produce a lot of trap music and glitch in their spare time. Definitely a local favorite and one show not to miss.
White Noise is one of my favorite djs. He's plays a lot of bass heavy glitch, dubstep and trap. He has a unique energy about his set and performance that just gets the crowd to throw down unlike any other dj I have seen of his level.
The Bath Salt Zombies are going to be a treat as well. They're a bluegrass/sideshow cabaret band from south Florida who are hosting their own nightly party in the woods near the campgrounds called "Electric Zombieland." Should be a unique way to change things up a bit each evening. I can't wait to see what they have in store.

We were all pretty drunk but I think he was in Cincinatti or Columbus but had some ties to the Gulf Coast - maybe he told me he had been down to Mobile or Gulfprt a coupke times. He was a cool guy and played a bunch of drum pad or tap pad. One of my kids ran into him somewhere this year and hit him up. It might have been the G Jones dAy after Buku fest show at Dragon's Den????

You're not the only one Esteban. It caught me by surprise too. The later adds expanded it until Sunday evening, which is good, but I too have to work Monday. At least I'm local. I did take off Friday though, thankfully. lol
With the amplified music curfew at 11pm every night until 11am in the morning, this should allow some decent time for rest unlike last years 24 hr schedule.
It turned out for the better in the end despite having to move venues. I'm surprised how well the scheduling worked in the end with so many acts. If all goes well, it could be moving out of Pensacola to a much more preferred festival venue next year.
This weekend cannot get here soon enough! Last word I heard, over 2000 people are expected to be in attendance, blowing last year out of the water by far.

Weekend was a mixed bag of stupid shit, decent music and lots of clusterfucks. We got there Friday afternoon and it was lightning nearby. Rain was off and on for several hours with probably 3 thunderstorms coming through that evening. So we walked around for a little while to check things out. I didn't get to see much early, but you pretty much know the schedule isn't going to go off remotely like the schedule is set anyway, so it doesn't matter too much. We happen upon this trap duo Noiseheads which consisted of a drummer and DJ. It started storming and props to them for playing through that. Every cymbal crash would splash rainwater several feet in the air. The rain eventually started to slack so I went back to the car. There's still lightning everywhere around, and since I don't knowingly swim with white sharks or hang outside in a field during a lightning storm, I'm in the car. I'm not sure if that really makes any difference, but it makes sense at the time. So we're camping next to these necks from northern Alabama, and part of their tent caravan is going airborne. So a couple of our people trying to help them hold it down, but the wind kicks up to about 40, and it's not much use. The other 4 people with me then all started running for the car. This one big dude trips over the rope on my 10-man easy-up, it catches some air and starts going up like a kite. Damn. There goes shelter for the weekend when needed. It finally stops and then starts up again, and my day is pretty much sucking. I'm thinking I could have gone to see My Morning Jacket at Champions Square for the same price and still have a tent that's now only questionably intact. I catch a couple minutes of Run DMT - eh and head back to the field and listened to some Mad Violinist who may or may not have taken Govinda's place. Nadis Warriors' stage was closed down due to the rain, so they didn't play. That sucked. Wick-it comes on and plays a decent set. There is no food, but we have some snacks and plenty of beer and liquor. I opted to not drink a whole lot Friday, but I was tired by the end. I'm kind of aggravated at this point, but we decide to leave out the canopy, tent, tarp, folding chairs and the extra ice chest to deal with in the sun on Saturday.
We get up and there isn't much left at the campsite. I noticed a friend's ice chest in the Alabama rednecks' tent and tell him. Eventually we figure out that family has basically jacked everything so they go over there to get some of that stuff back. Dude claims the Parks & Rec division had stacked everything down and was going to throw it all out. And he didn't know we were coming back. Blah blah blah. We get our stuff back, and he apologizes for drinking the few beers we had left in that particular chest. Haha. Pwn3d. He makes nice but everyone knows he is full of shit and had just jacked all that stuff. I was sure because the ice chest actually got moved into more of a stash spot I could still see after I think they heard me first telling someone it was in their tent. We catch some of Morning Fatty who was pretty good. But it was hot as **** in that barn, so I went walking. They finally have some bbq thing going, but it's like 3:30 and they're packing up. I'm thinking why didn't they just show up in the afternoon or evening when people need to eat??? It's whatever. I go see Monozygotik, but it's their MZG thing which is too soul/r&b for me especially knowing what those guys can otherwise do. Bah. But Greenhouse Lounge comes on next and is great. So my night is going good now. I watched some of Groove Orient who was decent (a lot of people said they liked them), and then I went and saw Simply Butta out of Mobile who we had met last year. That was decent. It stormed again on Saturday, but I drank a ton so I didn't care as much (except when it was an overhead thunderstorm). We leave for the night, and I'm thinking maybe I'll just go to the beach in the morning and show up in the afternoon/evening for the bigger EDM sets. But we ended up showing up Sunday anyway.
I had to drive home at 11ish so I figured get a few beers in early and otherwise just chill back so I can make it home - had to work Monday at 8:00am. There's nothing much noteworthy early except we were laughing that the broken canopy was gone as was the Alabama redneck family. Hahaha. Chumps. We got to say what's up to Spankalicous and saw most of his set. Then we went to Marty Party (who I was surprised showed up) and it was so-so. I don't want to hate on it or anything, but it's just party music. After that, Ill.Gates came on and pretty much cleaned it up. That left me with a more positive impression figuring between Greenhouse Lounge, some other random shit and Ill Gates, it ended up being worth $50.00 for the weekend.
I guess sometimes you get what you pay for and can't really bitch about that. No way the fest would have been worth over $100, but for $50 and BYOB, it was reasonable. The fact that 2 of my tent frame elbows are cracked rendering that frame (and my tent unless I can find a replacement frame) useless made it not so worth it. The small crowd they had was a lot of out of town hippies and flow kids who were mostly really cool and that neck family. Electric Zombieland was cool. I tried to get a shot of that stage which was like a haunted face and a bunch of painted glow-zombie things with neon and glow stuff scattered through the trees and on the ground, but my storage was full. I didn't get to actually see Bath Salt Zombies, but their woods stage was a nice touch. There were D-F elements of the festival and B-ish elements. Had more than a couple hundred people showed up, had people actually left their campgrounds to go to shows besides the headliners, if there was any food or whatever, it would be better. But as the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them show up to a cheap festival or go see sets of music. Maybe Stew can revisit some of his promotional ideas. No reason there shouldn't have been 750-1000 people there.
Other fuck-ups included the bubble soccer people showing up just in time for a thunderstorm. Hahaha. Pwn3d. And most of the water stations ran out of water. We were by RV, so they had spigots if you needed them. It was hot. I might go back if he does it again, but it could use upgrades and more organization across the board. Overall, I give it a C- as the festival mostly gets saved by everyone we partied with, Greenhouse Lounge and Ill.Gates.
Sorry your experience wasn't so great man. I agree with a lot of your points and the weather is totally out of anyone's control. I myself almost got struck my lightning holding down my canopy to keep it from flying in Friday's storm so I know how it is. Capt Green and Nadis being cancelled on Friday put a bit of a damper on that day for me. Wick-it was about the only thing that saved it and his set wasn't all that special. Greenhouse, Ill.Gates and Groove Orient were the musical highlights of the weekend for me.
The lack of food was a glaring issue. As was the location of the vendor area in relation to the campgrounds. That was a regular complaint I heard throughout the weekend, but thankfully reentry wasn't an issue so people were able to tun to the nearest store when needed. All of these things I chalk up to lack of familiarity with the venue and a last minute scramble to find vendors/food trucks not showing up or leaving early.
Sucks we never crossed paths. I was on site most of the weekend until Sunday when I ran my camping gear home and relaxed in the AC for a bit. It was a hot, almost unbearable weekend, but not much different than last year by comparison. More natural shade would have been nice, but the venue had little of that to offer. My friends and I still made the most of it. We had a massive slip n slide to cool off on when it got too bad. The water trucks on Sunday were another nice touch. As far as water stations go, I never knew there were any. The grounds had water faucets every where, and of course in the campgrounds (mostly RV lots) has plenty. We had 2 in our campsite alone so I never noticed it as an issue, but we also brought plenty of water to last us the weekend.
I'm not sure what the future plans of this fest will be. This time last year we had the same mixed feelings and questions, but in the end it worked out and was bigger and better in many ways. I feel this event is something special for Pensacola, but maybe it could be moved a month or two later in the year when it won't be as hot? As of now it's again up in the air where it will go from here. Stew is on the lookout for some sponsors to help keep it going so he won't have to carry the load and bit the proverbial bullet if things don't go as well as planned. He was hoping for 2000, expecting at least 1000 but got only 800 and those numbers were scattered about all weekend so it never really showed. Aside from a few complaints, most people I talked to really enjoyed the event and considered it one of the best times they have had in Pensacola. That may not say much, but it means something to us locals. The fact that it went off without any serious issues was a relief as well because you can never really know for sure in this town.
In the end, I am happy to be a part of it and proud of what Stew has accomplished. I think it was on track to be great in the beginning, but the loss of the original venue midway through promo really threw a curve ball at Stew and he never really finished picking up the pieces from that. I think he did the best he could and made the most out of the hand he was dealt. Maybe another year in the books will be a learning experience. If it happens again, I am sure some of the kinks will be worked out, but still it has come a long way from the initial event 4 years ago. It's going to take a lot more before it's a true destination festival, but for what it is worth, it's definitely special to us.
That's going to rule. He also said they expect maybe slightly over 1,000 people this year which is way more than the 100 or so they had last year. This is going to be a fun ass train wreck for sure.
