Not that we could find anywhere. I'm most likely not going to sit back for 6 hours wondering. But I'll check back in and whatever. There was some rapper on first, and now Angel Olsen is on. She was yesterday, so there's a shot they will play some other sets from Friday. IDK.
Yeah they're really keeping us in the dark. The first rapper they had on was Kirk Knight. He's a part of Pro Era (Joey Badass's group). I enjoyed it. But yeah I'd rather be watching what's happening right now...like Thundercat or Cap'n Jazz
It's disappointing, because I wanted to plan out my nights if there was anything I needed to see (Hundred Waters, ATCQ, maybe the Missy Elliot show?). I'm alright with Angel for now. I've watched her a couple of times. It's not a draw for me, but I respect her.
Edit Cap'n Jazz last song. They mentioned Eryka and Frank Ocean, but they said they weren't streaming frank. The brother host is f'd up and looking for drinks for MGMT. LMFAO

When did they say they weren't streaming Frank? That's like the main reason I'm watching. But not really surprising either.
Tweeted it out to someone yesterday. I was fine with it, but I'm not much of a fan. I'm loving they're giving me the bulk of this HW set though. I haven't heard much of the new stuff yet, and though it's not really that rehearsed, they still sound great playing them. Rummy said Blanket Me brought tears, so I'm hoping they keep the stream on long enough to show that (didn't).
Weak effort by the crowd there at the end. It's Don't let me think weakly, though I know I can break. Keep me away from apathy, while I am still awake. And don't let me think too long on the one I'm bound to face...
Sorta dark techno/deep house with some great percussion in there too? Idk, I just know I like it.
We tried to scan through it yesterday but couldn't find anything much interesting. The Twitter stream was probably the worst I've seen yet from a hosting standpoint. It was very amateurish with bad hosts, jumpy graphic buffers, hosts bragging about what's coming on while FYF is forced to tweet out that x isn't on the stream. Maybe I'm used to Red Bull who has their shit together and nugs and other services. The black guy host was fd up. When they discussed going to see MGMT he noted he needed to grab drinks first. Lmfao. At least they played okay acts, but it was a failure overall. I might jump on a little tonight and see if anything is amusing or if they feature any decent artists.
Also here is a link off of Mac Rumors with an embedded announcement of the Arcade Fire show next Thursday (site says Friday but the 27th is Thursday). Does anyone have any experience with Apple Music live concerts? Do you need to just go to a site or channel or does it require more effort?
Robert Glasper at the Marseille Jazz Festival of 5 Continents is on Arte Live Web at 2:00pm central today followed by Kamasi Washington at 3:45pm Central.
Panorama Music Festival from NYC will be streaming on Yahoo this weekend beginning at 5:00pm EDT on Friday (2:00pm Pacific). They haven't announced the schedule yet, but the article mentions select sets from
Tyler the Creator alt-J Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness Girl Talk Vance Joy Foxygen Glass Animals and many more.
5:00 pm - Pinegrove 5:55 pm - Mitsky 6:45 pm - Jagwar Ma 7:35 pm - S U R V I V E 8:30 pm - alt-J
Sunday 5:00 pm - Angel Olsen 6:05 pm - Glass Animals 7:00 pm - Andrew MacMahon in the Wilderness
I was hoping for better sets and more shit I haven't already watched or seen recently. Oh well. Lollapolooza is next week, and that will be on Red Bull so they will definitely have more worthwhile shit.
A Tribe Called Quest and Nine Inch Nails were added to Panorama Live Stream for Sunday (times in Eastern Daylight):

Edit to say Tame Impala is putting on a good show having been added to the Saturday stream. I caught some of alt-j which was entertaining as well.

Thanks 'luck. Might be a couple more festivals this month. Last year Lockn' put out some live sets but I didn't know about it until the last day. But I'll be looking around for as much shit as I can find and put it out there. Imho the live streams are a good way to sample acts for what they are currently doing live and screening what I would and wouldn't see.
Here are updated adds and schedule changes for Lollapalooza on Red Bull TV. Remember, this is going to be fluid as all Red Bull broadcasts are. I'll update the original post with the changes.
Friday 2:05 Cheat Codes (added) 4:05 Hippo Campus (added) 7:05 Majid Jordan (added) 7:50 Foster the People (added) 8:30 DJ Snake (added) 8:50 The Killers (added)
Saturday: 2:50 The Pretty Reckless (changed from Sunday) 3:50 Zara Larsson (added) 5:15 Royal Blood (added) Kaskade Removed (probably will be added because they'll have 3 channels running)
Sunday: 4:05 Jai Wolf (added) 6:15 Borgore (time moved up) 6:40 The Shins (time moved up) 7:40 Big Sean (added) 9:30 Justice (added)
Outside Lands will stream some sets this Friday, Saturday and Sunday on AOL. I didn't know there was an AOL anymore, but apparently there is. www.aol.com/video/show/Outside-Lands/SHW179/
They haven't announced the stream schedule, but it will be live at the link above between 4:00 and 7:30pm PDT (7:00 - 10:30 Eastern). The release says, "The 3-day festival will be live streamed on AOL.com and will feature performances from the biggest names like Metallica, A Tribe Called Quest, Tove Lo, Solange and more!" What it doesn't say is whether any of those sets will be streamed or not. Stay tuned, and once I have it, I'll post here and in the Outside Lands thread. Note that last year they did stream the top and upper-mid part of the card (LCD, Lionel Richie, J. Cole, Duran Duran, Ryan Adams, Major Lazer, Sufjan Stevens, Chance, Miguel, Big Grams, Halsey, Foals, Claypool-Lennon, GRiZ, etc.). They had 35 sets overall.
Defected Croatia will also be streaming most of the week/weekend. There are 5 days.
This is what they show (assuming Croatia time):
Day 1 (Thu) :Eats Everything, Sam Divine (starts 1 day 23 hours 40 minutes so that would be like noon on Thursday) Day 2:(Fri) :Todd Terry 13:00; The Shapeshifers 14:00; Joey Negro 15:00 Day 3:(Sat) :Mele' Day 4:(Sun) :Claptone, PurpleDiscoMachine Day 5:(Mon) :MK, Roger Sanchez, Sonny Fodera Day 6:(Tue) :Dennis Ferrer
Still no list of acts or schedule out for Outside Lands stream this weekend. However, AOL noted that if you want to catch acts like alt-J, Belle & Sebastian, Vance Joy, Empire of the Sun and more, keep an eye on the stream 3:30-10:30 PDT Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'll keep watching out and will post when the information is (hopefully) available.
Also streaming today is Sziget festival from Budapest on YouTube. I don't know almost any of the acts, but they show:

I had to go to sleep last night but I'm watching Pretty Lights Red Rocks night 2. Already got Roy Ayers' Everybody Loves the Sunshine and now Nas' NY State of Mind.
After years of avoiding the streaming trend, I think it's about time for me to get on board. With the demise of What.CD and with no current access to private trackers, I had been using TPB, but then got a copyright violation notice, so I'm trying not to pirate too much if I can help it. I'm also going through music a bit more quickly than before since my work commute is 40 minutes longer than it used to be, and it's more of a pain to download and transfer all my music. So right now I'm deciding between Apple Music and Spotify.
One of my chief concerns is being able to upload my own music for playback. I've recorded a bunch of my own songs that I'd like to listen to from time to time, and I also rip instrumentals from YouTube that I use to freestyle while driving. I'd like to have the ability to play these back from within the app, without having the be connected to the internet. Worst case scenario I can just keep them hard-loaded onto my phone and access them from the Music app. Music fidelity is pretty important, as is the ability to discover new music. I've read the Spotify usually is tops for discovering new music, but I don't know if that's enough to sway me. I generally listen to full albums, though having the free Spotify did lead to be listening to songs I wouldn't have previously, and that was kinda cool.
It should also be noted that I have an iPhone and Windows computer, on which I use iTunes anyway. Right now I'm leaning towards Apple Music because I know I can upload my tracks to the platform for offline playback - not sure if I can do that on Spotify. Also, how easy is it (on Spotify or Apple Music) to match my iTunes library with the respective streaming service's library? Also I have an .edu email address, but it looks like both platform use independent verification service, so I don't think I can nab the student discount. Anyone dislike their Spotify or Apple Music experiences? Are each easy to navigate? Apple Music is also getting a nod since I stream while driving, Siri integration might be nice. Actually, now that I'm typing this out...why should I choose Spotify over Apple Music? Does it have any real advantage other than better music discovery?

I'll hook you up on a private tracker- it's ratio driven but pretty generous in "Bonus Points". I pair that with a VPN just for extra security - 30 dollars a year. As for streaming, I use my own plex server that I manage pretty religiously, if you have a windows machine that you don't care much about you could do the same. My plex server is on an alienware alpha from 2014ish with an i3 cpu. Plex is free to install and use, but It's 5 dollars a month for added benefits (sync wirelessly to devices, use of smartphone app) or they sell lifetime subs for like 150 I think. If you want to check out plex and see if it's something you'd like, make an account and I can share my server with you for nothing. You won't be able to access it from your phone without buying the app or paying for the premium pass, but you'll be able to stream stuff directly from my server on your computer or any of the normal TV streaming devices (Roku, Firestick, PS4, etc.).
I like paying for the plex pass because I can open up the app on my computer and click things I want my phone to download. Then watch them on the go without having to worry about cell reception. But I've got a few friends that have used plex just as a free service for years.

I have Plex actually; just the free version so I can watch everything on my comp+external HD without having to navigate them individually. Never really thought about using it for music streaming, but I'm looking at streaming platforms so that way when I'm on the go or whatever I can just listen to whatever I want without having to had downloaded it first. I'd still appreciate that tracker invite though. =)

Metallica is doing a free live stream tonight of their Tour Finale in Edmonton. It's at 10:45pm EDT on their YouTube channel. You can also watch it here:
Again tonight Pretty Lights Live will be streaming from Chicago for Night 2 at YouTube.com/prettylightsmusic
It's at 8;45 central but it's often 20 or so minutes of setup and whatever before the live show. Last night was both great and freaky. Strawberry Letter 22, Only Yesterday, etc. I'll be vegging it. \PL/
Damn. Pretty Lights bringing out Soul Rebels for some ultra real new shit.
