Yeah, I believe it to be Frankblack. A personal favorite of mine around the boards and he's really the only person I've had contact with outside of inforoo. But I think I may stand alone on liking him.
Alright guys, I know this sounds crazy, but I'm gonna make a remark about artist additions.... I just want to support the statements about Refused getting added. The tour dates make sense and it would make the Saturday late night tents a lot more logical as a whole...
All of those are good/reasonable pairs. The only one that might seem a bit odd is Flume > D'Angelo, but Flume's sets have so much hip hop mixed in them that it would actually make for a great duo, I think. Though, if I'm being completely honest, D'Angelo > Flume is more likely but I don't want to think about D'Angelo, Slayer, Bassnectar, AND the SJ! conflicting

Why not pair D'angelo and the Superjam, and Flume and Tycho?

I hope Flume plays the Which before Bassnectar just so that one dude that was asking people to bet on it loses $200. Flume could easily fill up the Which.

If they don't add anyone to Saturday's late nights, that is exactly what I'm predicting will be the case. I hope that is what happens because I'd get to be on the rail for D'Angelo and the Superjam, which is my perfect scenario because I've already excepted that I'll have to miss Bassnectar and I'm currently battling denial about having to miss Slayer. The one problem with that situation though is that you would then have Slayer by themselves in a tent, although they do have the ability to do a two hour show, they usually only do an hour or hour and a half at festival and that simply is not enough music in a tent for LN, especially when there is only gonna be one act on the Which stage that night. The most reasonable change to make would be to put D'Angelo in the same tent as Slayer (which we all know sounds crazy) but that would make it Bassnectar; Slayer > D'Angelo; Tycho > Flume; Superjam ! Which makes sense because a bonnaroo has a history of putting a Superjam by itself in a tent to minimize restrictions on the set.

I'm hoping they add Refused and put em with Slayer so a Dangelo/Superjam tent could happen......but that tent is a pipe dream..

Another way to do that would be to just have the Superjam be second. My dream is for it to be D'Angelo > Superjam !
Yeah, most of us are hoping for that tent. If it happens, I think everyone on the rail at that show may very well be an inforooster. Sadly, someone said earlier that they emailed Bonnaroo about Saturday late nights and bonnaroo I told them that all of the shows are scheduled to end by 3. To me, that basically confirms that the Superjam will be in a tent by itself and we won't get Refused. UNLESS they make Mumford play decently early to finish by 11:30, it could be

I think bonnaroo is staggering additions this year. They add D'angelo and Kacey the day Lolla reveals their lineup. Wouldn't be shocked if they added 3 more acts when ACL announces theirs
Random question - this will be my first year at Roo so please forgive my ignorance.
Any ideas as to why they seem to be doing things differently this year? I've been lurking on here the last few months and it seems like a lot of stuff has been announced earlier, they're trickling out info, etc.. But also seems like they've been having success the past few years so why the sudden change? Any speculation?
1/30: Cold War Kids
2/6: Cherub
4/22: The Mountain Goats
5/25: Laura Jane Grace "Killing Me Loudly"
5/31: The Decemberists
6/11-6/14: BONNAROO 2015
6/28: Against Me!
6/30: Against Me!

I'd guess more competition. And maybe they just had things lined up earlier for some behind the scenes logistical reasons in addition. And maybe the increased competition forced them to lock certain artists down earlier, and the cycle continues...

Yeah, I think they're just trying to stay competitive by having tix on sale longer. It's been a slow seller for a decade.

One thing that gives me hope for more additions, the Pixies seemed like an obvious one with them opening for Robert Plant around the date. I think there's still a very good chance they are added
Seriously, if we don't get them that'd be a bummer, they are already touring with Robert Plant, why not?
Soooo, aside from Pixies, the thing I. Hoping for most to get added is that they will have a premier of the new Jurassic Park film either at midnight on Thursday or during Deadmau5 on Friday (preferably during the rodent)

Wednesday is getting closer which means more announcements. Wonder what we're gonna get this time; More additions, cafe/silent disco acts, or another on site art installation? I'm going to guess cafe acts.

I'm thinking the same and then a few more stage/tent acts the next week or vice versa

Thought Viet Cong was more popular but they have less than 10k likes on FB. Would they get a Cafe stage if added?
Edit: As a hardcore Jurassic Park fan, it makes me sad that Jurassic World will be premiering the same weekend. I'm hoping to catch a sneak peek screening, but I hope Roo screens the first JP movie in its honor.
