Who do yall think the headliners are going to be? Going off last years the only one I could see so far would be Plant but honestly see him more in the Wilco/Black Crowes spot. Remember Phil and Friends were not supposed to headline last year until Futher got cancelled.

I would love to see mmj get a headlining spot. Really hoping phish headlines as well. Also, not related to headlining... UMPHREYS!!!

I'm also on board the bring MMJ to Lockn train. I know some of the audience won't be familiar with their stuff, but I have a feeling they'd win them over pretty quickly. That's what happened with Wilco and my friends last year. They only knew a song or two, but once Nels started doing his thing they were all into it.
Serious question though, would they headline? Are they not about "on par" with Wilco in terms of festival spots? Figure they will try for Neil Young as said above. Phish isn't going to happen with Watkins Glen happening two weeks (rumored) before. Really want to see a JRAD add, and figure we will get one. Along with Mule getting a set or two. I'm not even positive we have seen one headliner yet, unless Plant and Lesh are the headliners which IMO would be a step down from the previous renditions. Looking at the past two years headliners I feel we have a ways to go... hopefully.
2014: Further (replaced by Phil and Friends)/Tom Petty/Allmans 2013: Neil Young (replaced by Further)/Further/Further (Workingman's Dead cover)- when you look at it like that its funny, but I would have considers Panic w/Folgerty & String Cheese with Zac Brown as "co-headliners" of sorts.
I'm really worried about them trying to pull Bob Dylan as a headliner. Hopefully if they stray off the beaten path they go big like a Pearl Jam/Bruce add.
Edit: I just saw they had Doobies listed separately so I am also curious if they will have a show on their own.

I think you're correct about them being on par with wilco. still would love to see them headline though just because I feel like they could pull it off, but I would settle with them just being there. I agree that Neil young would be awesome! Fingers crossed.
Good thing about lockn is headlining really doesn't matter that much IMO because everyone gets a unopposed spot. Just read the Stones are rumored to be touring America this summer. One can hope...

The Lockn boards seem to think that The Other Ones/The Dead are likely. I could see Santana possibly. Fingers crossed for Neil Young. I be surprised if MMJ headlines, because everyone to this point has been either a classic act or a jam act (Furthur, Phil Lesh, Tom Petty, The Allman Brothers).

I'm starting to get really excited for this, if they have 1 or 2 more artist additions I'm in to, I'll be making this my fall festival for 2015. Seems like a really chill set and setting from what I've seen around the web.
Its the best festival I have ever been too, but it caters to my tastes. Its really nice to not have to worry about scheduling conflicts. Only bathroom breaks/buying drinks takes up "non music" time.

I would recommend it. The Oak Ridge Farm is beautiful in landscape, and fits well for a music festival. You won't have trouble with security unless your very obvious or give them a good reason. A very friendly/relaxed crowd. If you want to take it easy in the back for a show you won't have people walking all over you, if you want to work your way up to the front for a show you won't have people blocking you off. Nobody I talked to last year was over a 15 minute walk from their campsite to the music entrance. I'm going to wait until the headliners are announced to decide if I want go in for the whole weekend or get a day pass. Hard to beat the student discount which is $200 for all 4 days.
My only complaint from last year was that the camping was to close together. Hardly had any room to breathe. We didn't arrive till about 6 pm on Thursday which may have been why. Did anybody do forrest camping last year?
I'm gonna be honest and say I have no idea who they are. This would be an early show right?
They are ska/funk/punk and I guess had their greatest success in the late 80's and early 90's. It's a unique add for Lockn I thought. I'd guess they play mid-day.

"a unique add" for sure!! I was a bit taken aback when I saw that announced. Very irregular, but should be a fun break from the norm.

Well just pulled this from the official website.
"LOCKN' Music Festival Artist Announcements to Resume Tomorrow!
LOCKN' Music Festival Fans watch our pages starting tomorrow for additional artist announcements for LOCKN' 2015! We're adding more to our already stellar lineup, and in true LOCKN' fashion, these will include some unexpected and once in a lifetime collaborations! Stay tuned to learn who will be joining Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Phil Lesh & Friends, Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Umphrey's McGee, Hot Tuna, Keller Williams, Slightly Stoopid, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, The Doobie Incident, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Galactic, and Fishbone at LOCKN' this year!"
Anybody wanna speculate on some more collaborations, sure sounds like a headliner or two will be a collab coming from what this quote is saying.
I keep waiting for something a little surprising...like Petty, Wilco, Tosh in the past. I'm going to be choosing between Lockn, Phases, Bear Creek or SCI Hulaween.
