Ha, Glass Tiger. May 25, 1991 (according to Google)
I was out of school for a month with double pneumonia, but I'd be dammed if I wasn't gonna make it to that concert....with my mom! I was so sick I had to tap out about half way through the show, and came home and brother took my ticket stub and went and saw the last half of the show (we lived a block away from the arena).
My first concert was also the Beach Boys, around the same time, so it must have been the same tour! I don't remember Chicago though, but I was 6 or 7 so I'm lucky I remember much at all I remember there were beach balls bouncing around the crowd.
Beale Street Music Festival, Sunday 1998. went with my parents. I distinctly remember seeing Edgar Winter and George Thorogood, spending some time in the blues tent watching whomever was playing, and seeing the first 30 minutes or so of Green Day (the band I really wanted to see) before my parents took my ass home to go to bed because "it was a school night" and I was only 12.
The first non fest concert was DMB, sometime later in 1998 at the Pyramid in memphis, and my dad made me switch seats because the guy next to me was smoking funny cigarettes.

AC/DC in 1991 at the tail end of the Razor's Edge tour, I was 14.
Like many others on this site, this first show led to a quick succession of others through to mid 1992. By then there was no stopping me, I pretty well saved all my money for concert tickets and renting bad martial arts movies
