Check out: "The Pavilion of Dreams" and "The Plateaux of Mirror." Besides his solo material, also check out "The Moon and the Melodies." A collaboration between Budd and the Cocteau Twins.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I'll be checking those out soon. I had no idea Budd had worked with Eno; I have (and love) Ambient 1 and 4, so it's cool to find out he worked on Ambient 2.

I know the biggest names are already out there (and damn I'm excited!), but I'm still holding hope we might see a few of these being last minute "surprise/secret" adds:
Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra Scott O))) Battles Sparks (A special 40th anniversary performance of "Kimono My House" in its entirety) Squarepusher (performing w/ Kronos Quartet) Stars of the Lid The Sight Below The Dead Texan Psapp Deaf Center Loscil Steve Hauschildt

They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
Pretty sure the Jonny Greenwood concert with selections from his soundtracks was a late addition. I bought tickets pretty late, but that was one of the big things, as I remember it, that convinced me that I had to go.

Greenwood was on the initial but they announced those concerts with the additions. I don't think I added all the Nanzorani stuff that was also included.
I'm crossing fingers for Stars Of The Lid now too.

The lineup last year. Initial was announced 12/4/13; additions 1/16/14. 25/26 on initial (not sure when Los Cubanos Postizos was snuck on); 11 on additions.
The Kronos Quartet, the festival’s artists-in-residence, and will perform several programs, including “Landfall,” its collaboration with Laurie Anderson. Two rock guitarists-turned-classical composers, Nels Cline of Wilco and Bryce Dessner of the National, will also join forces with Kronos, as will the Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq.
Tasty. I was wondering what Bryce would be doing back.

Tickets bought! Excited - have been to multiple Moogfests & Mountain Oasis, but this'll be my first Big Ears. It was the AWVFTS booking that clinched it for me - I've been an any-and-everything-related-to-SOTL fan for a while now, and have never seen AWVFTS live.
Seeing as how I've never been to Big Ears or Knoxville, period - I'm in the dark as to lodging options. Is there a centrally-located, best deal place that everyone tends to congregate at? Anywhere like Downtown Inn in Asheville for Moogfest? Walkable to the venues and not extortionately priced would be preferable - would rather get a room before prices get jacked or places get booked up! Any recommendations appreciated.
Looking forward to following and contributing to this thread as the fest approaches - I'm an infrequent poster here, but you all are a helpful bunch! This'll be my first festival since Moogfest earlier this spring and Labyrinth in Japan more recently - I don't think I've ever seen Labyrinth mentioned here, but for those of you who are techno heads - I would highly, highly, highly recommend it - it's set in the same mountain region of Japan where Fuji Rock is held, but is a much smaller, more meticulously curated event. Been trying to go for 8 years and finally worked the frequent flier miles for a cheap flight over there! It exceeded all expectations.

I don't think there is anything downtown as cheap as the Downtown Inn, but I am sure there are deals to be had out there. As happens with cities you live in, I don't really know anything about the prices of individual hotels though. and Phyre Fest have been shopping around though and should be more help.
