world cup screening

I haven't heard anything official, but I'm assuming bonnaroo will show the world cup games on a couple big screens somewhere...because if not, it would be tragic

can anyone confirm this for me and my fellow soccer fans?

They def did in '10 and I remember reading from some high up official (poss on reddit q&a) that they plan on doing the same this year.

This is fantastic, but I can't imagine at roo if I'm really gonna be able to take time out of the amazingness of the surroundings to watch, as much as I love soccer

I think Spain v. Netherlands would deserve a look. 2010 championship rematch. But I think it's Friday afternoon and likely has some horrible conflict.

Friday: Spain v. Netherlands @2:30 PM EST

Saturday: England v. Italy @5:30 PM EST

Those are the only games that I'd even theoretically consider watching over a show. They are two of the best matches in the entire group stage and of course they are during Bonnaroo.

Yes, they will be showing them on the new mobile stage.

Although their descriptions don't mention the style/size of screens that they'll be using. It doesn't seem as though Kalliope has screens itself.

Totally agree.  I was looking for something after Big Sam on Friday.  Might catch some of Dr. Dog, but I will find this mobile stage and watch the 2nd half of Spain v. Netherlands.
