Yeah, the rain sure did put a damper on my enthusiasm to see as many shows as possible. Luckily, my friends were camped directly diagonal from the big, purple arch located by the main stage, so I was able to hear a lot of stuff, but it just wasn't the same. I'll give the Roo a soft 4.
The weather and my camping spot combined force me to go to a strong 4 from the 5's of previous years.
I think I would have been at five if it had rained Saturday OR Sunday instead of both, or if the worst rains had been followed by the oppressive sun instead of the other way around (burning up during the day, shivering at night. Ouch!). I also don't think I would have minded my camp in Day Parking #2 with better weather and think I could have dealt better with the weather with a better campsite.
Anyway, the people and the music get a five plus, other logistical realities bring the overall experience down to a four.
im gonna say it was better than the 2nd year. but not near as good as year one... the traffic was 10 times better than both years i thought!
the music was sweet this year as well. i think the 1st year was so great to me cause it was my 1st big fest... now im hooked! and thinking of going to coventry...
i rated it a 4 outta 5... the 1st year was a 5 and last year was a 3...

i rated my roo a 4 because i didnt take full advantage of opportunitys laid before me. mostly due to the weather, however i should have been less a wuss and got a little more muddy. so i dont blame the weather. over all this was one of the best trips ive ever had. everthing went as planned. we met up with the caravan at 3 am met fluf and drugs and a couple of other peeps, then decided to go it on our own, we ended up a 4 car caravan anyway. the people we camped with were way cool, and we hadnt even met the two chicks withus untill this trip, they were a breath of fresh air. we met up with friends that had to leave 12 hours behind us, no problem. no hunger, no dehydration. got to see most of the band s that i had hoped to, and some new ones that may well prove to become old favorites. got to jam on our own(wild thing, you make my heart sing...you may have heard) and evey one in our group made it home safe and healthy. we were lucky. i do hope they go back to 80,000 for next year, I think it would make for a better time for all.
You know, the mud only prevented me from seeing Robert Randolph Sat, while the sun made me change my mind to see Gov't Mule, and Wilco. I was sunburned as it was and couldn't risk getting more burned.

im giving this Roo a 3 and 1/2. Mostly due to my own fault, got way spun out and missed some good shows. There were not as many freeky people looking for great music as in past years. there were too many yuppie people looking for droogs and booz. There were not as many heady acts either. The Roo looks like its gradually changing. and of course no one likes change.........

I gave it a 4. This was our first year, and we were fairly well prepared as far as provisions went. But I wasn't prepared for all the walking and the heat/ rain. The whole experience was better than I imagined. I couldn't stop smiling for days--still smile whenever I think about it. Looking forward to next year.
while i was at the roo... almost daily i would sit back and just observe smile and really make it a point to relish every moment. all the planning and anticipation and the reward, an amazing lifetime memory. it went by too fast, i was overwhelmed and i let moments, friends and music pass me by and now i feel a sense of regret. and i realize that its a signal that where i was is where i love to be
