I might do VIP for Cage the Elephant. I had to miss them for Damon at roo, and that crown will be huge.
I was considering going to Cage, but after seeing them at Mercy Lounge this week, I feel like I don't ever need to see them again, because that show could not be topped for me. Amazing in a tiny venue.
My money would be on Moon Taxi who is oddly missing from the fest and has several days off around 8/28. Plus they don't have a Nash date on their upcoming tour.

Moon Taxi is doing a show at Marathon Music Works in July as part of a Budweiser promotion.

Ah, first I have heard of it as I am not a local. It's not listed on their website or facebook so I didn't think they had any Nashville dates coming up. Still doesn't rule them out. Especially with that Budweiser show appearing to be pretty exclusive.
We have a hotel room booked downtown the weekend of Sept 5-6. Looking forward to The Wild Feathers and Jake Bugg. Since there a lot of bands there that also play Bonnaroo, will the scene and the vibe be the same too? I hope so.

The scene is little more family friendly. And lots of people bring their dogs, so watch for the poop.
Capital Cities is playing the last set tonight. Fun fact: I just high-fived a stranger with a Bonnaroo t-shirt on. Now that's a good omen! I think I will take that Trip downtown tonight. See the sights! lol
I've been to the last 3 years of Live On The Green and I still think that it's the best free event in Nashville, but I'll be skipping out tonight. It has gotten waaaaay too crowded. You used to be able to have a little bit of elbow room towards the back, or at least be able to go get a beer/use the portopotty without someone calling you a "fat b!tch" for trying to pass by them to get over there. I heard that they're doing it at Centennial Park next year. Fingers crossed...

The Live On The Green folks keep trying to remedy the situation, and they're doing their best, but it's not doing much for the overcrowding. And it seems like all of the Vandy kids discovered how awesome the event is and they have totally invaded it. They make up a majority of the line-cutters, push-up-to-the-front-and-crowd-you-and-your-friends-even-though-I-got-here-10-minutes-ago-folks, sh!t-talkers, and half-full-beer-throwers.
LOTG was awesome! I didn't notice any problems with overcrowding or anything else . I wore a Bonnaroo shirt one night and I don't how many people came up to me to say BONNAROO!!! I'll be going again next year for sure.
