I guess it hasn't dawned on you that we are all a bunch of obsessive nerds, huh?
Haha, I guess not. What are your preffered methods of hearing new music? I buy albums and cds so it would be crazy expensive to try to keep up with you guys, although I do catch NPR streams and full albums on youtube from time to time. I also like listening to music in the car in order to figure out how much I like it. I tend to like things more when I listen to then inside a building, but I'm a lot more choosy in the car.
I pay for spotify's service and listen to it through my phone/bluetooth mostly at work and in my car.
You guys know there's a website that pulls all song and album streaming sites from all over the web into one place right? They don't get every one, but it's pretty thorough.
For instance, I discovered Jungle on here and now I've turned nearly everyone I know on to it and they all love it, except for Phyre Fest somehow. C'mon Phi, listen to Busy Earnin just one more time :).
Oh, don't worry. Just give Phyre Fest like, oh, 6 months or so, suddenly he'll be a huge fan of Jungle and will tell you how great they are at every festival.

And I agree with you , I find a lot of great stuff on here after you guys post about it. For instance, I discovered Jungle on here and now I've turned nearly everyone I know on to it and they all love it, except for Phyre Fest somehow. C'mon Phi, listen to Busy Earnin just one more time .
I go down to the record store with Delicious Meatball Sub every Tuesday. Dale, the assistant manager, puts his picks for the week on display for masses to know what they should listen to. Luckily, for regulars like Horn and I, Dale clues us in on his secret stash in the back. And he lets us test drive the records on the store's top of the line, hi-fi turn table. What's more, is our favorite tapas spot is right next door, so we make an evening out of it. Love Tuesdays.

I'm writing it all down for my international best seller Tuesdays With Monster.

I would have gone with "Tapas Tuesdays" but your title works too.

It was tough getting here. What an abysmal year. There's like no "guitar" music that I'm digging this year, at all. Also no hip-hop. Alas.

You don't even like Pinata?
Not enough where it's top 20. It'll probably crack my top 50.
For what it's worth, the hip-hop albums which I didn't think were just the worst would probably include:
MadGibbs, Pinata Cormega, Mega Philosophy String Theory, String Theory Homeboy Sandman, Hallways

True, but it has been a hell of year for the "Electronic" genre.
I mean, it's a gross oversimplification, but I'm just not finding a ton of inspiration among the more "traditional" guitar/bass/drums "rock" outfits out there.

Goat, Swans, Pallbearer, Agalloch, Antemasque, Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks, Ty Segall, just off the top of my head.
None of those did it for you on the "guitar music" front?
I don't think I could classify 2014 as abysmal by any stretch of the imagination.

I think that Goat album is insanely overrated by the folks on this forum, for starters.
And I should probably revise/clarify my statement, because I think that this has been yet another stellar year for metal. I'm not as high on Pallbearer as a lot of people are, but between Mastodon, Behemoth, Thou, Indian, Solstafir, Agalloch, and a couple others, it's been strong.
