You won't need the luck this year. You'll just score 1,000 points.

I am going with 6-6 again. Maybe I'll actually be right this time. People keep talking about Utah St like they are a real trap game, but it being the home opener with the crazy amount of hype going on this season gives us the edge. Oklahoma is going to a rough game especially with it being at Normal. My highest hopes is that nobody is going to get injured. Georgia will probably be rough too. I don't think they are going to drop off much from last season despite losing Murray. Florida is an interesting one. They have a new O coordinator and Muschamp is coaching for his job, so they could be extra dangerous. On the other hand, coaches have crumbled under that kind of pressure and they got worse as the season went on last year. Alabama is Alabama... enough said. We beat South Carolina last year, but this game is in Columbia and they still have that ridiculous running back. Kentucky sucks. Missouri is another one that can go either way as they lost some big pieces to their team. I refuse to mark Vanderbilt as a loss regardless, but I think the freshman class will be the difference. We had #5. They had #49. It's a little bit of a difference.

I mostly agree with you, except fuck florida every single time. I'll be a total homer and pick us to win that game. Plus maybe they really are as bad as they ended the season last year. We could have won if we played them in November. and its in Neyland. and it seem like the most likely upset on our schedule, and I feel like Butch can find a way to win at least one upset.

Not so fast my friends... @ Ole Miss.
Don't worry, pumpkin. I am well aware they have decided to quit being a punching bag for a little. I have it as a W, but it certainly could be a loss.

I was actually a little curious about that one as well, sang_xcx. Wasn't Andre Williams a vast majority of their offense?

Pretty much. BC always plays us tough and it's on the road.
Another year, another backloaded schedule. I'm thinking 6-6, maybe 7-5. Not bad, but not great.

Knowing what I know about OSU they will probably drop one of the first three games of the season. Utah will be the most improved team in the conference for the second year in a row and be bowl eligible, I doubt you guys win that one either.

This year is a big question mark for Arizona. Our defense should be improved from the already pretty decent season last year. Our offense is a big unknown. We lost the best college RB in the country and have a QB battle between a bunch of guys who have never started a game in college. We will have the most talented receiving core in the conference (barring injury) I just hope someone will be able to get the ball to them. I honestly wouldn't be surprised with 4 wins or 9 wins, but here is my best guess.
W Fri, Aug 29 UNLV W Thu, Sep 04 @utsa W Sat, Sep 13 Nevada W Sat, Sep 20 California
(At this point in the season the entire city of Tucson declares the team the greatest in Arizona history and guarantees them to win the conference, along with hailing whoever the starting QB is as better than Nick Foles)
L Thu, Oct 02 @oregon L Sat, Oct 11 USC L Sat, Oct 25 @washington State L Sat, Nov 01 @ucla
(At this point in the season the entire city of Tucson declares this the worst collapse in Arizona history and every single message board post and radio show call involves calling Rich Rod worse the Mackovic and saying they would rather have BJ Denker in the QB slot)
W Sat, Nov 08 Colorado W Sat, Nov 15 Washington L Sat, Nov 22 @utah W Fri, Nov 28 Arizona State

W in the Las Vegas Bowl or wherever they end up against some MAC or MWC team and half the city declares Rich Rod a hero and the other half declares he sucks, since he didn't win the conference like the predicted when the team was 4-0.
I think one of the arguments people use for Williams is that Carey had more around him whereas Williams was a one man show. Since sang won't use actual evidence, I will throw this out there en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doak_Walker_Award. Personally, I think they're pretty evenly matched.

I don't like to be the guy that blames everything on East Coast bias but I have to go with that here. My biggest argument is performance in big games. Carey was significantly better than Williams in big games and played better opponents than Williams did. Had Carey not been suspended for the first game of the season and limited in the second he would of been ahead of Williams in total yards and already had 1 more TD than him. His 206 yard and 4 TD game in the Oregon game was one of the more significant moments in Arizona football in the last decade and 340 yards against a 3-9 NCST or 5 TDs against 3-9 Army come no where close to it.

What was he suspended for? I feel that behavioral suspensions are unfortunately one of those mitigating factors when it comes to awards. They have nothing to do with on the field performance, but some voters don't want to give an award to a guy who is screwing around off the field.

He had some issues with a baby mama that got him and her arrested but all charges were dropped, then he pulled the "do you know who I am" card after a cop kicked him out of a basketball game for moving up to better seats. Both of these incidents were like February before the season started
