I'm surprised Louisville isn't in there. Coming off a bowl win (where the handled Miami) and 15th place AP finish I figured they'd at least have a spot in the top 25. Meh, whatever.
I think it's a combination of Strong and Bridgewater being gone and them going to a tougher conference in the ACC. They ended up as 31st in the AP poll and 36th in the Coaches.

And those are fair points... but still.
Obviously I think losing Bridgewater hurts far more than Strong. I'm excited to see what Petrino does. They really don't have THAT tough of a schedule (at least looking at it at this point). FSU, Clemson, and Notre Dame will all be tough, but we'll see. I'm glad the FSU game will be at home.

Also been going back and forth for weeks about whether to renew my Pitt season tickets to keep my seat seniority. Their home schedule is something awful this year.
sang_xcx, how big of a deal is it for Brooks to be missing the whole season?
I hate it for him. I think he's been hurt a good bit of his career at Clemson. I could be wrong, but I don't think he was a starting RB though. I don't think it will hurt us too bad. We have some good RBs backing up our starter. Inexperienced but talented.

Could you at least sell the tickets if you renewed?

We're going to be rb by committee this year so now there's one less option. He does have 2 yr of experience but on the other hand he's been here 2 yr but hasn't shown much. He probably should have been the starter this year but he never claimed the spot. Now we'll have to have big contributions from some freshmen.
Wow. Just read some posts form that board and there are more delusional clemson fans than sang out there.
lol I can say the same thing about Uga fans. I was reading some on their board one day. What gives Uga fans the impression that they're on a higher level than Clemson?

Their superior conference
That would make sense if they had contributed anything to making the conference superior.

How have they not? "Since Richt's tenure began, Georgia has won two SEC championships – 2002 and 2005 – and 6 of their 7 SEC East Division Championships – 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011, and 2012." "Georgia has won the third most SEC football championships, with 12, behind Alabama (22) and Tennessee (13)."
I don't think any UGA fan will argue they are the best in the SEC this year or any year in recent memory but to say they haven't contributed anything to making the SEC the most renowned conference in college football is idiotic.
Not sure why people are too butthurt to admit the SEC is the strongest conference from top to bottom. That won't change if Oregon wins the national championship this year.

Not saying that Uga hasn't been a historically successful program but it has been 9 years since they have won the SEC. I'm taking it more as directly comparing them to Clemson. Everything I read from the Uga fans gave the impression that they don't even think Clemson is in the same class. It's just not true. The last couple years Clemson has been better. Going back 5 years Clemson is still better. Maybe if you go back 10 years Uga is ahead but that's a long time ago. The comment in response to emoney was more of a knee jerk reaction to him always going to that tired old "because they play in the SEC" bullshit.
