Beck and Outkast are the obvious answers.
Beck is playing other festivals, not sure if Bonnaroo simply passed on him or if the schedule simply didn't pan out.
On the other hand, it seems like AC/Superfly simply dropped the ball on Outkast. Outkast is booked at every festival in the world, and I know others have speculated it might have been a matter of a radius clause with another festival. However, Bonnaroo should have been waiting at the front of that line. Outkast has been one of the most common headliner requests for years on this board. Inforoosters were clamoring for Outkast when it was irrational to clamor for Outkast. Now they're finally back and we miss out.
I can understand a desire to differentiate from other festivals and strive for a unique lineup, but Outkast just seemed like such an obvious (and apparently relatively inexpensive) get. I'd be really interested to know what went into that decision.
I promise I won't turn every post into Kanye, but did they not see the results of the Kanye vs. Outkast poll? Outkast won by multiple landslides.

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.
