Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

This is for songs that you really enjoy when you hear them covered, whether it be from local bands or huge acts. It's not for cover songs that have been recorded, just for spur of the moment, fun songs that add to the show. I'm putting together a bit of a local superjam where I'm at and I'm trying to figure out some good tunes to throw out.
Any better suggestions for the title are welcomed. I couldn't really figure out how to say it.

Midnight Voyage by Ghostland Observatory first came to mind when I saw this...the guitar riff in it seems fairly simple, but suuuuper catchy...all around good groove.
War Pigs has been covered by tons of people, I've gotten to witness quite a few live... I can only think of one instance where a cover of that (that I've heard) wasn't good, and that was when I walked into a downtown festival in the middle of a Zugg Island set... horrendous.

Dead Flowers - My dad has covered it my whole life and I've heard it covered by multiple smaller bands in local joints. I always get excited though; it's nearly always good. =)

When I saw Rob Zombie back in mid 2000's, he and his band played "Enter Sandman" that night and the place went nuts. Still one of my favorite cover moments.

I love hearing covers of The Band that aren't The Weight. I mean, I love that song and enjoy seeing people cover it but I really like seeing songs like Long Black Veil and Chest Fever being covered. Wilco did those two on the Americanarama tour the other night with Garth Hudson on one and Jim James on the other. I wish I was there.

I don't really think of Long Black Veil as a Band song. I associate it more with Lefty Frizzel and Johnny Cash. I would have loved to have seen that Chest Fever cover with Garth playing organ.

I first heard it from the Band so I always associate it with them. I learned something today.
Seeing My Morning Jacket cover Rocket Man at Forecastle 2013 is definitely up there for me. Also when they covered Tyrone w/ Erykah Badu at the 2011 Louisville Palace show. Their cover of Careless Whisper into the infamous Banana Jam at Forecastle as well.

I like My Morning Jacket.
I like the MMJ and Puscifer covers of Rocket Man the most.

Afro Blue - I have 16 versions. 2 by Mongo Santamaria (the originator), 3 by Coltrane, a Derek Trucks Band, multiple Gov't Mules (electric and acoustic; with Derek, Tim Reynolds, Oteil Burbidge, members of Galactic, and others), and various others.
Son of a Preacher Man - I love the Dusty Springfield original. But I also love the covers by Aretha, Joan Osborne, and Ike and Tina.
