Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm going to avoid listing the easy targets like Imagine Dragons or fun. or any of these kinda popular radio-lite faux-indie pop bands because it's too easy.
Alabama Shakes The Avett Brothers Dawes Deer Tick The Beatles Tupac The Eagles Megadeth String Cheese Incident anything that could be described as "jamtronica" except the New Deal and STS9 Drake Skrillex Bassnectar pretty much anything that's just wobbles and womps and dropzzz Zac Brown Band Jimmy Buffett The Beach Boys Crosby, Stills & Nash New Order Depeche Mode ...I could go on and on.
Lets keep it manageable and just list the stuff you like instead.
Haha, I love it when one person with myopic taste in music criticizes another person for having myopic taste in music.

Hate is too strong a word for me to apply to bands/artists, but I absolutely hate Tiffany.
That remake of her's, I Think We're Alone Now, incites the worst irrational anxiety in me and was literally stuck in my head from childhood on. How would you like to have that as the soundtrack to your early years?!!
She freaks me out. (this probably belongs in the irrational fears thread and not here)
This kind of hits the most beloved bands on inforoo. Don't hate me.
My Morning Jacket – Should be up my alley, but just can’t get into them. They are a great live band, but when you don’t enjoy their music, even that isn’t enough.
Radiohead - I just don't get hype. I've listened to all their stuff, and cannot get into it. Saw them at roo, and was bored outta my mind and left.
Phish – they just bug me, but at least their show is entertaining

Agreed on almost all points...
I enjoy the Beatles to a certain extent...I could make a great 20 song playlist, but none of their albums as a whole really appeal to me.
Just never got into Tupac, but I respect his talent.
ZBB really surprised me last time I saw them. Their guitar player is light years ahead of the rest of the band. But their shows are goofy as hell. At one point they strapped on harnesses and hovered over the crowd jamming...not kidding.
Im partial to Dawes cuz my biddies band got their first mini-break touring with Dawes for a bit.
I could really enjoy the spectacle of Bassnectar/Skrillex shows if it werent for the crowds. Im turning into a grumpy bastard. Partially Inforoo's fault. I do still enjoy Pretty Lights and BigG live.

I must say I am pleasantly surprised that we have made it to four pages and Rush has yet to come up once. Maybe you all just haven't thought of them yet. Or, wait, it says "loved bands." Maybe no one thinks they qualify then. Either way - carry on.

New Order Depeche Mode
These two stab me in the heart... question though, you hate New Order, how do you feel about Joy Division?

Animal Collective is my big one. When I tell people I don't like them, there's a good chance some jackass will say something like, "Yeah, they're too experimental for some people." Which is...frustrating. I don't like Pavement, either, and I've never been able to get into Mission of Burma, even though they should be right up my alley.
I sort of agree with you on that one, though. A few of their albums I really dig: Strawberry Jam and Sung Tongs in particular. However, I think it may be a bit of a fluke.. seeing them play their LN set this year didn't do much for me.

I can understand Animal Collective as being a little annoying and even Pavement, especially if you weren't "there." But Mission of Burma? You must be smoking rocks.

1000% agree regarding AnCo and Pavement. And I get equally frustrated when people have that response about AnCo. I wanna be like "I like Brian f*cking Eno, for chrissakes."

I've finally warmed up to AnCo, but agreed that their fans retarded the process quite a bit.
You take your dirty lies and you get out of here. You GET. THE HELL. OUTTA. HERE!
Seriously though recent bands I don't find enjoyable are as follows:
1. Macklemore
2. Lumineers
3. Passion Pit
4. Death Grips
Honorable mention goes to Wilco. I like slower music so that's not the issue but I don't know if I have found the right album or what yet but it just hasn't been getting me. I would of liked to check them out at Bonnaroo but didn't get a chance to. I am open to suggestions on this to be swayed
I agree with all of these. But with Wilco, you can go straight to hell!!!
Other groups I loathe include the previously mentioned Mumford and Sons, and wait for it......
Tom Waits.
I respect his talent. He's got some good tunes here and there and his songwriting is top notch. I just can't ever see myself being in the mood to sit through a whole Tom Waits album. I just can't.
People that hate The National probably weren't hugged enough as children. Or maybe they were hugged too much. I dunno, but it makes me sad, cause they're easily one of my favorites.
