Thundercat on thursday sounds awesome. How about xxyyxx too? And killer mike was that good? Im not a fan of live rap (saw Nas, one of my favorite rappers, and left halfway through) but remember walking by that tent and thinking it sounded like a party.
Maybe a D'Angelo set if he gets that new album out this year? Wishful thinking
As far as rap goes, I think they over saturated it a bit this year. Some possibilities:
-Danny Brown is releasing a new album in August. His live performance has also improved a lot the past year and his set would be a hell of a party -I think Odd Future will be there in some form -Freddie Gibbs is a possibility -Game -Joey Bada$$ -Kid Cudi -Big Boi again? -Schoolboy Q / Ab Soul
Also check out the Bullitts. Works with Jay-Z, Mos def, Jay Electronica and has his debut album coming out this year.. could be a cool Thursday get
It leaked much like EoTS's did but it got pretty popular afterward. His shows seem to be pretty popular and I know he's working on a new album now. He hits up festivals often so I can't see why it'd be impossible.
how many edm acts has bonnaroo repeated that aren't bassnectar and pretty lights?
i feel like the answer is zero. feel free to prove me wrong.
If you count Girl Talk as EDM he's been to 'Roo 3 times, along with Pretty Lights, and Bassnectar came '10-'11. I don't think there have been any other EDM repeats but I haven't looked at all the lineups that closely.

MGMT Old Crow Medicine Show Iron and Wine Flaming Lips The Kills Yeah Yeah Yeahs Raconteurs or Dead Weather Devotchka Peter Bjorn and John Bright Eyes mindless self indulgence Serj Tankian Ashes Divide Puscifer (if tool isnt there) massive attack weezer smashing pumpkins deftones the allman brothers eagles of death metal edgar winter blue oyster cult black sabbath alice in chains portishead
Rap/Hip Hop: Scroobius Pip Doomtree Kid Cudi Saul Williams Aesop Rock MC Chris Childish Gambino Lonely Island MIA gorillaz
Comedy: Louis CK Sarah Silverman Zach Galifinakis Lewis Black Workaholics Cast
I was really hoping we would get jurassic 5 and deerhoof this year, so I'm just gonna go ahead and carry that hope over into next year. I would also like to see something along the lines of Russian circles. And I've never seen a comedy show in my four bonnaroos, but I would probably have to see Louis ck
Oh hell yes. I wonder what his spot on the lineup would be. I would hope he was higher than an Alice Cooper type but I'm not so sure that would be the case
He wouldn't be nowhere near as high on billing order as Alice Cooper, but certainly worthy of a late night spot. However, I think Roo would probably give him the John McLaughlin / Dwight Yoakam / Blugrass superjam spot though.
I was at that Ray Davies set at Voodoo. Great stuff. I was talking more cheesy 80s throwbacks like they've been so fond of booking lately, see Weird Al, Al Cooper, Idol, ZZ. I don't consider the Kinks in that vein and he would not be in a late night tent. But I'd take him too.
The Strokes MGMT Vampire Weekend Queens of the Stone Age Arctic Monkeys Phoenix Imagine Dragons Sigur Ros Nine Inch Nails The Neighborhood
I can see maybe half of these bands at Roo '14 since they all have/will have come out with albums within the year.
As far as the headliner(s), it would be great if they brought one of the following: U2 Plant & Page Alice In Chains
I'm a big Alice in Chains fan, past and present, but they are nowhere near headline status at Roo. I would say, like Weezer from a few years back, AiC would close Which one of the days if they were there
