This year marks my 10th Bonnaroo. Out of all the many music festivals I attend, I consider Roo to be the ultimate. The diversity, talent, and depth of the lineup, the late night sets, the remote location (meaning higher % of true music fans letting loose away from it all), and the camping (no responsibility of getting offsite back to a bed each night) and community created make for an unparalleled adventure.
One thing I have learned over the years is that the more time you spend exploring the lineup, the better. There have been many bands over the years I missed at festivals just because I didn't yet know them at the time (and I am kicking myself for it now). With 140+ band on the lineup from across genres, there are all kinds of wonderful artists just wanting for you to discover them.
I present to you these continual DJ mixes. Much more than just a playlist, this is a 3D musical journey. My goal is to recreate what it is like to walk around Centeroo, simply no better feeling for this music fan.
Last years Bonnaroo sessions brought over 1000 streams and 200 downloads. I'm a little late to the party this year due to some equipment issues, but still plenty of time left to join in the fun.

Anyone feel free to post other Bonnaroo DJ mixes here, love hearing new stuff. Or post a song from one of this years artists that is a perfect fit for a mix and I will try to fit it into one of my next ones.
Don't sleep on Lord Huron all. They were my first act at Coachella this year and they freaking killed it (one of the best sets of the festival). I had never heard them before at the time either, have since bought all their stuff and am loving it. We get both a Tent and a sonic stage set, lovely! My favorite new discovery of this year.
Also, Macklemore is the real deal. I read an interview about him and then really listened to the album, rhymes about much deeper stuff. Give him a chance if you have only heard Thrift Shop and dismissed. He had a cool set from what I saw on the Hangout festival webcast.
Such a great trio of headliners, all stellar live. Its been fun revisiting all these Tom Petty songs, so much talent. I think I've seen him 2 or 3 times in addition to his 2006 Bonnaroo set, another legend.
I still wish Roo would get its act together and have an electronic stage. I miss the arcade discoteche and I was a huge fan of the Lunar Stage (even though it needed some major tweaking). But we do have some pretty damn good EDM every year at least, Friday late night will be epic!
And finally, I listened to Weird Al before I listened to music (for almost 30 years now). He puts on a great show (seen 3 or 3 concerts), I can only imagine how much better it will be in a beloved late night spot in one of the tents.

Hey billion just wanted to say thanks for all the time you're dropping into these mixes. I downloaded the first one a couple nights back. Today is one of my final days living in Minneapolis. I had your playlist going as I spent a couple hours walking around the city on one of my favorite routes. Getting pretty close to the Roo (sooooo exciting!!!!), but when else will I have the excuse to mix Beatles, Tom Petty, and Weird Al songs??? Just like with Beach Boys last year, wouldn't really ever play one of the songs, but it was fun mixing them in. As always I do this simply because I love it. Perhaps you will get something out of it as well?
