My names Zak - I'm flying from Australia to the states and was thinking about volunteering at the festival, which would require arriving on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it's a little difficult/expensive to get to the farm from Nashville, so I was wondering if I'd be able to get a lift with anyone? Alternatively, if anyone has any good ideas as to how to get there that would be absolutely amazing
I'm not volunteering, so unfortunately I can't give you a lift. However, the Bonnaroo website mentions that the Greyhound station is only a mile from the festival. A greyhound ticket for Tuesday June 11 (leave 6:15AM arrive 7:25AM) is only $16.00 online through www.greyhound.com
A mile doesn't seem like too bad of a walk, but I understand that you might be coming with a bit of baggage (especially if you're heading over from Australia). Here's a list of taxi services that service Manchester. I imagine for a mile it wouldn't be too bad for cab fare, maybe $5-10.

Of course, if you can find someone to hitch a ride with, more power to you.
Edit: Also, you may be able to take the greyhound down to Manchester and hitch a ride back with someone passing through Nashville on the way back.
Ahh cool! That could work out quite well possibly...I get into Nashville around 11pm on the Monday night and am staying near the airport, so i might be able to catch a cab early in the morning to the bus station and go from there - would i be walking from Manchester's city centre if that's roughly where the bus stop is? Thanks a lot for the speedy reply too
Hey Zak if you decide to take the bus from Nashville, the Greyhound Station in Manchester is located at Hulletts Shell gas station 617 Woodbury HWY Manchester, TN 37355. It is literally right off Interstate 24 at exit 110, and Bonnaroo is right off Interstate 24 at exit 111. So basically a mile down and should not be that bad of a walk. I am a local, and I would not mind giving you a ride if I am not at work. Good luck on your journey!
