Gotta prepare to crash at some point, right? If I planned ahead in 2011, I wouldn't have watched Buffalo Springfield from the VIP tent while teetering between sleep and semiconsciousness.
I'm pretty sure 3:15 - 5:15, 9:30 - 10:30 (lest I decide to see Michael Winslow) and skipping the second round of LN on Saturday will be how I attempt to recover from AnCo's insanity.

Ill usually put in a good 25 hours awake before I crash and burn for a few hours. Im thinking Sat. after Nas ill grab a few hours shut eye. Sunday morning/afternoon I usually get a good ammount of rest in before partying until they kick us off the property. Once you see the sun come up, it just feels like another day. Plus no time to waste at Roo.
The only this I really see is that I'll be at This Tent for a 3-4 set stretch from on Saturday (with a little Other), so I can (probably will) catnap once or twice.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Were there always something I felt compelled to see like last year, I'd probably share the "I'll sleep when ____" mentality (only skipped Feist and GZA {'twas before I got in to Wu Tang}). However, I see a lot of prime opportunities for resting up this year that I think I will seize.
Long Mumford nap is getting harder to justify as I imagine the Michael Winslow cinema tent even will be really fun. I'll probably chill to Solange and drift to sleep until and hotfoot it to Dirty Projectors unless Gov't Mule manages to strike my fancy in the next 6 weeks.

Mumford looks like a great time for a meal and nap for me... other than that, I'll sleep when the music ends and wake when the heat makes me. Its Bonnaroo, I'll get my sleep when it's over.
I will probably hit the sack early (or what passes for early at Roo) after catching about 30 minutes of ZZ top on friday....none of the friday late nights interest me that much, and the rest of the fest is so packed.
So much Lumineers hate on Inforoo... not sure where that is coming from.
Mumford hate... I get it. Kings of Leon hate... I get it.
What's to hate about The Lumineers? Please tell me what I'm missing.
How can you get the hate for Mumford and KOL but not understand the Lumineers hate?
I didnt mean that to sound as douchy as it did. I meant what makes KOL and Mumford so hatable? I think Mumford and Lumineers might as well be interchangable. The Disney channel loves them both thats for damn sure

Well... KoL had a kickass debut album with a bright future in music... then created some truly terrible sellout albums. Not to mention Caleb is a d!ck.
Mumford & Sons had a great debut album... then a pretty terrible one (IMO). Plus, I found both of their Roo sets to be poorly paced and ultimately boring.
Lumineers have 1 album of catchy folkiness. Its hard not to like that album. Should they be nearly unopposed on the Which Stage? That's very questionable. But just because they are popular does not make their music bad. Their KEXP show on Youtube was pretty enjoyable. I'm definitely giving them a shot to win me over.
after i drive through the night Wed/Thurs, Ill get there around 6/7/8am, set up, and take a HUGE nap till whenever I wake.......I feel that powers me up for a big Thursday night and big weekend......
and, I usually take off the 2 or 3 hrs during the headliner on Fri/Sat to shower, eat, listen to reat of set at tent, or nap.....gets me ready for Late Night.....
saying all of that, I will be listening to Sir Paul at the tent while enjoying many beers before The Wu and Pretty Lights.....and taking a FAT NAP during Mumford.......like everyone else.............

Mumford has two albums that are huge. KOL has been around for years and is arguably a big band.
The Lumineers have ONE album with ONE song.
Most of us feel that Bonnaroo could have spent the money they wasted on a one-trick-pony to get better acts.
The Lumineers were going to end up at Bonnaroo one year, would you rather them play that one album on the Which Stage or wait for another album and have them be a really big deal on the Farm. I'm glad they are here, it's the perfect time to eat dinner

Regardless of how you feel about them, The Lumineers are a big part of the line-up for A LOT of people. I can't honestly think of another artist with a better cost to impact on ticket sales ratio that is not on the lineup. Maybe Vampire Weekend...but even then I don't think so.
Edit: To stay on topic with the thread, maybe skip Dirty Projectors and Cat Power to relax at camp.

I'd rather wait for everyone to forget about them in two years and they can play a tent.
There's a good chance that after Bjork, I'll be resting until the LN sets start up. Nothing against Lumineers or M&S, just not my type of music. I might sit at the very back of What and nap, that way I can catch part of M&S off and on.
