After much deliberation I have decided that I will follow up last year's choice of Notre Dame, a beloved team in my early days (Rudy comparisons aplenty in my childhood), with yet another childhood favorite:
THE FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES
It was a combination of my uncovering an old Warrick Dunn jersey and the allure of rooting against Sang in a sport I couldn't care less about that cemented the Noles' choice as my NCAA rooting interest for the 2013-2014 FBS season.

Also, mark October 19th on your calendar & start looking at flights. Come on!
You mean to tell me you wouldn't want to be the meat in that sparkle sandwich!?
Custeph, you were the only reason this decision wasn't made weeks ago, if that means anything. I promise to be cordial and respectful towards you, and please know ahead of time that any trash talk directed at Sang is because it's Sang, and not because I have any legitimate dislike for Clemson football.
But in all seriousness, my cousin went to FSU (he's like 20 years older than me), so growing up I watched every game and could be found saying things like "Chris Weinke is going to be the best QB in the NFL!" I just drifted away from college FB in general and stopped rooting for teams and just rooted for good games to watch.
But now, all that's changed. You hear me, Sang? You're a marked man.

They stood in front of me in 1999. I was finding glitter on my jacket for weeks. And I didn't even take part in a sparkle sandwich. That would be one way of going about getting vajazzled.
Why is there dislike between Clemson and UGA? Either I've never paid attention, or it's only the people on this board.
Everyone likes to torture Sang re: college football, and he is a huge Clemson fan, so for many, it's not so much that we like Georgia as we want to see sang suffer.

Yeah, the Sang hate is strong in here.
Clemson & UGA used to be more of a rivalry as well. They are geographically closer to each other then Clemson is to the Gamecocks. There were some great games back in the 80s, back when I pulled for the Dawgs.
It's never been a secret that I grew up a Georgia fan. I did grow up in Georgia. I even twirled on the field a couple of years when they had youth day. I still think of them as my 2nd favorite team, although Brad has never been happy about that and tries his best to ignore that about me.

1.beat SC 2.win the ACC 3.beat FSU (pretty much the same as #2) 4.beat UGA
Option A: Clemson goes 0-8 in conference but beats South Carolina.
Option B: Clemson goes 8-0 in conference but loses to South Carolina.
Sang chooses Option A.
A. has no chance of happening. but you're right, if B. happens I will not be pleased. in fact I think it would be the worst thing ever if we come into that game 11-0 and get beat by them.

I'm not a UGA fan, but if I had 2nd team it would be them. out of all of the games that we could lose, I could take a loss to UGA the best.because it's the first game of the year and we can recover from it. as long as we win the ACC and beat SC, I can deal with losing to UGA.
Also A note on Rich Rod and the team. According to many of the local people covering the team there were still a lot of loyalists to the old regime on last years team and this year apparently everyone has bought in or left. They are saying chemistry has been great for all of Fall camp.
I strongly believe that chemistry is what makes the difference between a team that comes back and wins a game after a tough loss and a team that gives up on the season after that tough loss.
