Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Maybe it does make me a snob but those responses perfectly illustrate why we don't get more good acts through this region. Here's a highlights listing for Lexington's premier local venue: www.bustersbb.com/?cat=29
Also, it's great to have a 24,000 seat arena in town but if it wasn't for basketball I'd never see the inside of the place. Last concert I went to there was a Metallica make up show from a different venue way back in 2000. www.last.fm/venue/8787992+Rupp+Arena/events
Fortunately there's a smaller club that opened a few years ago with marginally better booking (Cosmic Charlie's). I hit up shows there probably 4 or 5 times a year. :S
Adorn me in feathers from dead birds;;
I feel summer creeping in and I'm tired of this town again;;
You are surrounding all my surroundings, twisting the kaleidoscope behind both of my eyes.
"Iv seen kiss, gwar, skynyrd, metallica, slipknot, slayer, anthrax, three days grace, a7x, godsmack, and many many more..... none of them hold a candle to mushroomhead."
Mushroomhead: better than Metallica, Slayer, and GWAR
Kiss opened in the 70's for ZZ Top at Plattsburgh University in upstate NY. It was nickel beer night. They had terrible make up and they didn't get to even try out their pyrotechnics because Gene Simmons walked on stage, sprayed fake blood on the crowd who proceed to pelt the band with empty, half-full and completely full PBR's while they chanted for ZZ Top to come on stage. I know about this because my dad's fraternity was hosting the show/party.
If that band is anyone's "best show ever" they need to be put in a North Korean work camp for a year. that should give them ample time to reevaluate their lives.
Yep, that's pretty much the crowd around here. Which is also why I go to most of my shows in Columbus and Indy...and why I go alone...no one I know wants to go see bands they've never heard of.

Ha ha ha. Before I opened that link, I was sure this was about the pizza stained Riverbend Festival we have down here in Chattanooga. Your responses would have been the same though.
