haha, I know it may sound a little ridiculous but after this draft there will be 4 clemson wr's, a te, and rb in the nfl. so while I was watching that game, I was thinking, this isn't really a fair place to judge him, because these guys are not even as good as the guys he's been playing with the last 3 years.

His draft position isn't going to be determined by his stats on a couple possesions in the Senior Bowl. Scouts are looking at his footwork, how he moves through is progressions, how he reads defenses, etc. The stats in this kind of game don't mean that much.

yea, I know, I heard most of the scouts don't even stick around for the game. but watching that, one thing you can judge is he's better than most of those other qb's. the only one that may be better is Carr. that was my impression.

The week of senior bowl practice for these guys is far more scrutinized than the game itself. He still has the combine and his pro day to show his stuff.

You'd better start calling up NFL scouts with your impression. Maybe you can keep him from plummeting straight through the third round and beyond
e: Make sure you let them know you're a clemson fan who watched every single one of his games. They'll love that
what's ridiculous about it? he wasn't playing with much talent. the other qb's did't look great either. Logan Thomas is the worst ever, if anyone drafts him they should be shot.
How in the fuck can you sit there and say he had a better game than David Fales? Fales' first drive he moved the ball like 70 yards in 4 passes.
Boyd had a 1.9 Y/A, below-50% completion, and an INT. That's a horrendous day.
Boyd had a poor week of practice and a worse performance yesterday, he wasn't better than any of the South QB's and he didn't help his stock at all with the week he had.

Tajh had the first 2 possessions and the last 2 possessions in the 1st half. the last 2 they were in hurry up mode and threw the ball more. he lead them to their only score of the half. he didn't get to play in the 2nd half because Thomas had his 2 possessions, then Morris had his and they gave him the last drive with less than 2 min. left. the team Carr and Fales were on was just better. it looked totally unbalanced. Fales looked good and apparently played better than I thought because his int was his only incompletion.

I watched the entire game, Boyd just wasn't playing well. Great, he led a drive from his own 40 that netted a field goal, that doesn't cancel out how bad he looked the rest of the time. "Some bad throws" for Fales? He was 6/7 for over 100 yards, dude, are you kidding me? His interception was his lone incompletion.
The one position that had the biggest discrepancy was QB, that's why the game was so lopsided.

I think the North o-line was horrible. they sacked Thomas like 5 times. Tajh probably would have been sacked as much but he threw it away instead of being sacked.

Excuses will not change the fact that when Boyd did have time, he was still unimpressive.
So, the receivers sucked. The o-line sucked. Maybe you can blame the coaching staff, the field conditions, and the crowd noise too?
if they suck, they suck. it's not really an excuse. the team he was on didn't look good at all. the other qbs on his team looked awful too, worse than he did.

You know what, you raise a good point. The south's roster was unfairly stacked with all the SEC talent.
He's the best ex-athlete alive. I am looking forward to the Mets being 10 games under .500 in July and Keith spending an entire game in the left field restaurant patio drinking wine and talking with Ron Darling about their '86 hijinks.

^^ Steve McMicheal is another. Think along the same lines of the conversations Hernandez and Darling have, except that A) he is drunk on painkillers and scotch instead of wine and B) he openly tells those '85 Bears stories on the radio because with him its like playing peek a boo with a baby. If he doesnt see the audience, they must not be there so he still thinks the secret is safe as he is telling the story.
Walterfootball is poops, btw. Charlie Campbell isn't bad, but Walter is a disaster with his mocks. There are better draft sites out there (draftbreakdown.com, draftek.com, CBS Sports has a better database that is massive and free).
