We all talk about our "bucket list" acts and with so many high potential bucket list artists touring or playing festivals this year, there's a lot of opportunity to do some serious crossing off. I propose making a list of 10 Bucket List shows where the members are actually living, might one day tour, or in the case of broken up groups have some reasonable chance of reuniting (I'll let you decide if Smiths or Talking Heads etc. are worth putting on your list). Then as you get to cross something off the list, come back here, strike through the one you removed, talk a little about seeing them if you want, and then add a new member to the list - you know, like the 10 Most Wanted lists. I'll start:
1. Prince 2. Led Zeppelin (Page, Plant, Jones) 2. Paul McCartney 3. Smiths (or at least Morrissey/Marr together) 4. Van Morrison 5. Peter Gabriel 6. De La Soul 7. Kate Bush 8. Depeche Mode 9. Adele 10. Yaz
6/13-16: BONNAROO
6/28: Dave Chappelle > Weedeater
6/29: Bob Dylan, Wilco, MMJ
6/30: The Grandmothers of Invention
7/11: Seinfeld
7/20: Living Colour
8/1: Mastodon w/ Machine Head
8/7: Melvins
9/5: Iron Maiden w/ Megadeth
9/14: Joe Satriani & Steve Morse
10/2: The Legendery Pink Dots
10/4: Sigur Rós
11/1-3: VOODOO
11/14-17: BEAR CREEK
Good idea. I've fortunately been able to knock quite a few off the ole' bucket list over the last couple of years.
1. Pink Floyd (never say never, but seeing Roger Waters last year is likely as close as I'll get) 2. David Bowie 3. Prince 4. Outkast 5. Rolling Stones 6. Led Zep 7. The Kinks (will likely have to settle for Ray Davies) 8. Bob Dylan (I know, I know) 9. Lou Reed (I know, I know, I know) 10. Sly (I know, I know, I know, I know)
Have you already seen King Crimson and David Bowie, Tom?
Excellent question - Yes and yes. I saw KC in the mid-90s and I saw Bowie's Glass Spiders show (the one with Peter Frampton on guitar). Yeah - I was hoping this thread would create some weird lists - I'm an older person and go to a lot of shows so my list might be a little more boring than some others.

I knocked a good chunk of bucketlist out last year and will not include the ones that I know I am knocking out this year.
top 10 acts that could happen: 1. David Bowie 2. Prince 3. Rolling Stones 4. Black Sabbath 5. Beck 6. The Cure 7. Aphex Twin 8. Kraftwerk 9. Outkast 10. Portishead
extremely unlikely acts that I've lost hope of seeing: 1. Led Zeppelin 2. Pink Floyd 3. King Crimson 4. Talking Heads 5. Mr. Bungle 6. White Zombie 7. At the Drive-In 8. Bauhaus 9. The Police 10. The Kinks 11. Genesis 12. REM
Honerable mentions for ones that could happen still (no order): Daft Punk Peter Gabriel Al Di Meola Van Morrison Elvis Costello Depeche Mode Bob Dylan Massive Attack Tear Garden Faith No More Brian Eno Pixies Modest Mouse Iggy and the Stooges

Yea this sounds so self serving but I am really old so I saw all the greats and the groups a lot of people still want to see. To tell the truth, of groups or people I haven't seen, I can't think of anyone. I'll add my two cents. The first time I saw K Bush, not the first time for PF, she was a ballerina on the stage for the first time DSOTM was played in the US. Fun times .... cr****

This is kinda hard for me. Most of the artists that might be on my "bucket list" are people who tour all the time but I simply can't come up with the money to go see them (Beyonce, Springsteen). Plus there's a bit of a selection bias (I'm super excited to see Nick Cave, but would he be "bucket list" if I didn't already have Coachella tickets? Probably.).
Here's what I got right now: 1. Yeah Yeah Yeahs 2. Beck 3. Kanye 4. Van Morrison 5. Bowie 6. Bjork 7. Paul McCartney 8. Nick Cave 9. Bob Segar

sh*t - forgot Beck. Guess I better get to Bonnaroo and see McCartney so I can add him to my list.
Now that we live in Toronto, it is easy to knock bands off my list, but some seem unlikely to ever happen
Talking Heads - reunion not likely AC/DC - not likely unless festival. won't pay $$$ Franz Ferdinand - easy, next time they hit TO The Thermals - easy, next time they hit TO

1. Rolling Stones 2. Aphex Twin 3. Prince 4. Elvis Costello (should be an easy one, timing has just never worked out) 5. Bjork (this summer!) 6. Fennesz 7. Merzbow 8. Daft Punk 9. Wire 10. Silver Apples
I didn't include Bowie, because it's better for me to just believe he'll never play live again.
I've got 10 split between reasonable and unreasonable. I didn't want to veer too much from the thread's intent, but wanted to recognize that a few are just pipe dreams.

^^ That's why it's so fresh on the brain. I've seen most of the 60's greats I wanted to see (and some I don't *cough*). Bowie is the last big one I can think of.
Totally forgot Aphex, PD. That will go up there too.

Unreasonable 1.LCD Soundsystem reunion
I'm certain this will happen before the end of the decade.
1. Led Zeppelin 2. Macca 3. Portishead 4. Any form of Pink Floyd, obviously Rodgers + Waters would be ideal but I don't see it. 5. Jeff Mangum 6. Kanye 7. Brian Eno 8. Bowie 9. OutKast 10. Bjork 11. Daft Punk 12. Tom Waits 13. Massive Attack 14. Sufjan Stevens 15. Madvillain (or MF Doom in any facet where he actually, you know, showed up)
5/16 - Father John Misty
6/6 - The National/Dirty Projectors
6/10 - Animal Collective
6/13-6/16 - Bonnaroo
6/24 - Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers

This is really hard. On the one hand there are tons of legends I'd love to see but don't necessarily care if I never see them perform live since they aren't in their prime and aren't necessarily mine to see, if that makes sense. I know Sigur Ros is probably my #1.
1. The Cure 2. Neil Young 3. Bob Dylan 4. The Smiths 5. Modest Mouse 6. James Taylor 7. Brian Jonestown Massacre 8. Jeff Magnum/NMH 9. Erykah Badu 10. Fleetwood Mac
