I am getting scared I wanted everyone to vote Jim James so I could get closer in for Bjork. Now I will have to mobilize the Pondo Army for this to plow a way to the front just need to put on a farday cage and bum rush the stage and embrace the Tesla Coil all 5 zillion volts of it!

Bjork hands down. A pre-headlining spot would sure as hell piss me off. Not only is it a slap in the face to her 20 year + career and her stage setup, but I am entirely sure everyone waiting for mumford would be complaining the entire time and asking "who's bjork brah?"
I thought it was a slap in the face when buffalo springfield played the which stage. Sometimes these things just happen at bonnaroo. It will be a shame if she does not get a ln.

I totally disagree that a pre-headlining spot would be a slap in the face of her 20 year career. That just seems silly. Also, I'm sure there are fans of both Bjork and Mumford.

There are, but not many. If youve read many of the anti bjork sentiments on the bonnaroo facebook since the lineup release you would understandably not want to be around it during her set. And mumford draws the casual crowd that will do it. Some people have a strong dislike for her that i cant remember seeing with other artists. And they make sure to voice it

If Bjork gets a pre-HL (which I think she will) Bonnaroo will probably put someone with lots of pop-appeal like the Lumineers on opposite her on the Which. Problem solved.

That wouldnt be so bad. I just already have a ln which spot in mind when i picture her set in my mind. If you dont think bjork is getting it who do you think will get the other ln which spot (pretty lights getting one of course)

Your first mistake is basing things off the facebook comments lol. There are likely a ton of people posting comments that aren't even going. Also I'm sure there are a TON of people who are going that don't waste their time on the Roo facebook page. It's a small representation of the Roo audience, much like Inforoo.

I might be. Even so, that backlash cant be completely disregarded. Ghost's point, which i agree with, is that mixing the bjork and mumford crowd is asking for a personality clash. But if that situation plays out you can just get in the pit for bjork and wall yourself off from it. So problem solved there.

What about Bjork on the Which in the Buffalo Springfield slot? It would be dark, she could be unopposed (or largely unopposed) and there'd be no brutal LN conflict. They'd have to put the Lumineers -> Mumford on the What, which strikes me as a little monotonous, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't mind. The real downside is the smaller pit.

I'm a fan of both. Casual fans are much more likely to not be that familiar and also the younger crowd that is college aged or a couple years removed from college arent going to be as familiar but be more familiar with Mumford.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

Ever since people talked about her being there, I have been picturing a headlining set or a LN What. I just cannot see her on the Which Stage with the show she has. Especially, since every show I attended on Which last year, the sound was shit. I dont think I stuck around a full Which show all weekend because I was having such trouble hearing and some of them I was pretty close and it was still just weak as hell.
A Bjork show is an event, a spectacle and I just have something in my head that needs to be during the night. I will enjoy it regardless but it would take a little umph out of it if she were Pre-HL or stuck on Which.

I cite the 2011 superjam as my reason. I'm a big Dr. John fan and quite enjoy The Black Keys as well, so a 'once-in-a-lifetime' Dan Auerbach and Dr. John superjam seemed like a no brainer to me even though I really wanted to see Explosions in the Sky as well. On paper it seemed amazing, but for me and many others it was one of the most disappointing sets of the weekend, starting an hour late and being seemingly uninspired, where as many people had high praises towards Explosions' set. The really ironic part is the collab between Dr. John and Dan Auerbach continued on to produce a grammy award winning album and other shows as well, so it really wasn't once-in-a-lifetime.
Point is while on paper a Superjam with Jim James, John Oates, Zigaboo, and PHJB greatly appeals to me, I've learned from a past experience that once in a lifetime doesn't necessarily guarantee quality, nor does it for sure mean 'once in a lifetime' (who knows what the future can hold, maybe they'll make an album together and win a grammy or two).
Bjork on the other hand is tried and true. Pretty much guaranteed an amazing time.
Don't get me wrong, the Superjam has the potential to rock hard and it more than likely will, but given a conflict between the two, I go with the logic of knowing Bjork's reputation for always putting on a stellar show.
I can agree w the once in a lifetime argument. Jim James has already toured w pres hall and has played w John oats at at least red rocks show w MMJ.
It truly depends on my "mood" and by mood I mean party favors I find at the show. I could see being in a mood to not see bjork or the mood to very much see bjork. Of course bjork could conceivably change that mood.
I still think James superjam is more my style of music.
I'm surprised to see people substituting the Superjam with Jim's solo set. I imagine the two will be wildly different.
i dare not speak for others but i only mentioned the solo set as a chance to get a jj fix in the event of a bjork/SJ conflict. the schuperyam will likely be a very different animal than the solo show but i will take what i can get...after bjork

I would have no problem with her being late night on the what. I am just being realistic. If she is on the What, it will be as a pre-headliner. I do not think she has the kind of pull with the Bonnaroo crowd to warrant a late night What spot. That is reserved for very special occasions like Jay-Z or possibly if Daft Punk were booked in the future. With that said, a pre-HL spot for her would piss me off. It if happens I will deal with it and get over it like I always do.

I agree. From the few JJ setlists he has played some Jacket tunes as well mixed in with new stuff, while the Superjam will be in the some of the covers(hopefully) that him and the band has covered over the years and some new ones. I am going to try to do both myself since I know what I am getting.

Being a bassist who is greatly indebted to Mr. Graham, I think I'm going to have to change my vote. At this point, I am really hoping for a 2:00-4:00 Superjam and Bjork overlapping with Mumford or something along those lines.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.

THIS^^^
I was too hoping for a bass announcement and this exceeds my wildest dreams. Was thinking it might end up being George Porter Jr., but wow!

The more I think about it, the less I mind a pre-HL Bjork set. If I recall correctly, The Roots played during senset last year, which Bjork could make feel even more amazing.
