Discovered this band last night when they opened for They Might Be Giants. HOLY CRAP BATMAN! Two saxophones and a drummer... that's it. And it was freaking amazing. They definitely need to find their way to the farm. I wish I knew the strings to pull to make that happen.

Yes!!! just started digging into Moon Hooch last week after someone on here mentioned they opened for Lotus and tore the roof off. Lets pray they're an add, this would be one of the most fun shows of the weekend! here's a really cool video of a performance in NY
I haven't been around much but wanted to drop in to tell you guys about Moon Hooch
I saw them open for lotus last week and they blew my mind 2 dudes on saxophone and a drummer. One of the saxophonists switches to some other unidentified brass instruments. They play jamtronica music, but with no electronics. Tons of energy. Mind= BLOWN Best new band I've discovered in quite some time
Edit: I just realized they are opening for They Might be Giants in nola on March 8th. Unfortunately that conflicts with Primus & FlyLo @ Buku fest. oh well...next time.
Lotus was great, but tbh in my opinion it was anti climactic seeing them immediately after moon hooch. That's how good moon hooch was
Wish I could see them tonight, but I ain't missing f'n Primus and Flying Lotus for 'em.

Honestly one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. And without a doubt the most fresh and refreshing. It's nice to see a band do something different.

Were you at the Nashville show? I rocked it out with my kids. Those guys really kill it, I saw them like three years ago busking in Grand Central Station and sat there watching them for like half an hour.

Saw them at the Nashville TMBG show and loved it. That saxophone player can goddamn shred.
Does anybody think it would help them or hurt them if they added a bass player and a keyboard player? While awesome and impressive, sonically it felt like the songs were lacking at times. But on the other hand would it make it "less impressive" compared to a band of only two horn players and a drummer?
Yep, at Cannery. My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out why more people weren't dancing! I'm short, so I stayed near the back so I could see and have some room to dance.
They said they needed a place to stay in Nashville and my guy and I almost offered them some space. It slipped our minds before we left, then I saw this the next day and was angry cause I would've loved that alarm clock lol

Quack yes! I've been getting into Moon Hooch since I figured out I was going to Gov Ball. They're the last act on the lineup and my friend goes to The New School, where MH started, so he suggested I give 'em a listen and I haven't stopped since. They would be so great for 'Roo too.
