Nah. "Suck it" would be me saying the Chvrches album is kinda bland overall. Its good, just overdone. I'm betting live brings those songs to light. I'm kicking myself for not listening to Zapp earlier. That CSF album is not just an AOTM, but perhaps the best hip hop album that I've heard this year (thus far, obv.).

To be fair to you, Zapp does love those guys in general, so an endorsement from him is not exactly shocking.
So turns out there was a whole lot of new releases which came out today. Not sure why it all fell today instead of the normal Tuesday.
Generally if the last day of a quarter (usually Sept, Dec, March, June) ends on a Monday, the labels will push out a bunch of stuff a day early for extra sales in the quarter that's about to close.
So this is a good point for people who already voted. The following albums were officially released today so are September albums:
Justin Timberlake Phantogram HAIM Moby Blitzen Trapper Lorde Dr. Dog Deltron 3030

FTFY Edit, I'm mistaken. Holy Ghost! Has been out since Sept 8th. Need to check multiple sources for accuracy i guess

Damn! I need to check out the new Phantogram, STAT!
Personally, I feel we should count anything that came out yesterday as an October release.
You think September album releases should count in October? And the reason being...
Typically albums are released on Tuesday, and since technically today is the cutoff for September voting, that would give you a total of one day to digest those albums. You could keep voting open until next Tuesday, either way I don't care.

LD already pushed back the deadline to Monday due to the late new releases. I see what you are saying, but there has to be a cutoff somewhere.

If the voting deadline was last night, then I'd agree, but having a week to decide if any of the Sept 30 releases are worthy of your vote is more than enough time.

I still think those bands are doing themselves a disservice in the AOTM race releasing their albums so late on. Don't they know what's at stake?

Better to be late in September than too early in October. I think it was a great strategic move on their part to win some inforoo votes. Look at Phi, he bought it, hook line and sinker!

I imagine part of this is that the cutoff for 2014 Grammy eligibility is 9/30. JT, Lorde, and Haim probably all wanted to get in before the wire than release on a traditional Tuesday.
