What the heck? No Django thread? Well I finally got around to seeing it tonight. Such a great movie. I think other then Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill this was my favorite from Tarantino.
But anyway, did anybody else watch it and think that Michael K Williams (Omar from the Wire) would have been perfect as Django?
I really dont see the hype for this movie. It was WAY too long. I did however really enjoy the last 30min or so of it.
You didn't like any of the Christopher Waltz scenes? I thought he stole the movie. The part where they ride into that western town and just shoot the sheriff was my favorite.

I thought the opposite. I loved the movie, but I think the first half was better than the second. The second half had moments that drug out when they should have been short and moments that were rushed when they should have more time spent on them. Still a fantastic movie, not sure if I'd put it as QT's best or anything but still really awesome.
God I loved this movie especially when he killed that one cat in front of the slaves "You want to see something you ain't never seen before?" I bet Lil' Pokey never got beat for breaking the Master's egg's again

Definitely my top 3 QT films now- and I agree- Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and this one are probably my favorites (although, Jackie Brown doesn't get near enough love, it is also one of my favs).
Just read an article on Huffington Post where Tarantino admits that the entire plot was a little hair brained... They could have just offered to buy Broomhilde from Candie and avoided the whole mandingo thing.
