Sarah, wish you could have made it. Everyone in line already had tickets so it ended up burning. Too bad. It was a great show. Short, but that's the downside of 3rd and Lindsley's Lightning 100 series. You get great Americana acts every Sunday, but just for an hour or so. They played two songs off their new album that "might or might not" make it out in 2013. They sounded great.
The opening act, Roadkill Ghost Choir, was also really good. And the first act, which didn't make air, Chastity Brown, was pretty good too.
Somehow they flew under my radar forever. Luckily they ended up getting the opening slot at Americanafest before Buddy Miller and Lee Ann Womack and Tift Merritt. Just about everyone around me was in the same boat as me in not knowing who they were but the place was packed for Buddy Miller. They just blew everyone away and ended up being my second favorite show of the weekend (behind Mercyland, which was one of those "once in a lifetime special" things).
