What are the chances that this happens at Roo? They could show the documentary in the cinema tent and have the band play a set in a tent or on one of the bigger stages. It says that there will be a core band and will feature special guests from the documentary, which some of artists in the documentary match with some of the rumored acts for Roo(Macca, Stevie Nicks).
"Pretty soon, everyone will hear what our big plan is. We’ve been planning it for a long quacking time."
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
I would be very excited for this though I don't imagine it's going to tour so fest organizers would really have to pull strings to make it happen. Still they couldn't ask for a better demographic/opportunity for promoting the movie so that makes me encouraged to think it could be a possibility.
Excited for Paul McCartney, Grizzly Bear, Bjork, The National, Animal Collective, Beach House, Kendrick Lamar, Swans, Tame Impala, Wu-Tang Clan, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Wilco, The xx, Nas, Japandroids, Solange, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Dirty Projectors & R. Kelly
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
The more I think about this the more it makes sense as a superjam for 2013. Do multiple screenings on Thurs/Fri and give them a LN on either Friday or Saturday. All of the members of the act are currently free around Roo Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, Brad Wilk, Chris Goss, Alain Johannes, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett. Then add in the possibilities of Macca already being at Roo, Stevie Nicks could possibly be at Roo, Trent Reznor might be there with How To Destroy Angels, Rick Nielsen could be as Cheap Trick has played festivals in recent years and maybe even John Fogerty as there was a CCR rumor I saw on here a couple days ago.
