They played in 2009. They came out during NIN, forgot what song but they fucking tore it up. I had all the intention to see them on Sunday during their mid day tent slot, but Saturday night went a little too long for me and I ended up going home early on Sunday (never again). I would love for the opportunity to see them there.

I remember Cage The Elephant came out first and were good but the Dillingers came ouyt and they blew me away. On the rail for it and got to shake hands with the guitarist at the end.

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
seen em 8 times now and they have yet to put on a bad show. i don't think they're capable of it. they are by far the best metal band out there. every time they play it is amazing. i don't think they'll be touring until later in the summer though. ben weinman is working on giraffe tongue orchestra with brent hinds and jon theodore and greg puciato is doing a side project with troy sanders from mastodon, dave eltich from volta, and max cavalera. i mean, if they get the work done on those projects by the time the new DEP album is out then i could see it. i would love for them to be back, hopefully in a thursday slot this time, i was completely dead after they played that day slot.

Seen em 4 times myself and I am always thoroughly entertained. You don't even have to know a single song, they're just so friggin crazy when they play. You have to see it to believe it. I'd totally welcome them to Roo.
they tend to do both of those above pictured things a lot at their own shows. i felt that they're roo 09 performance was a little tamed down for them. mostly because they didn't have anything above the to grab onto and rip down. they still went as apeshit as possible for roo though. damn they need to come back.
So in '09 I spent Friday night corned out and loving life for NIN but it left me wiped the next day. Some friends and I went to watch Dillinger the next day and I am a huge fan of both the band and mosh pits in general, but I had decided to just stand in the back and enjoy the show since I was still worn out. I was clearly not prepared for what followed. As soon as the show started I watched the guitar player run, not dive, run onto the crowd while playing and I thought that maybe that would be fun to be a part of. Still I stayed at the back. Then I watched Greg drop his mic and jump into the crowd. I quickly realized that he was literally throwing punches at the crowd and I could stand by idly no longer! I handed my bag and hat to my buddies and told them I was "going up front for the fight." I made it to the front and it was absolutely insane. At one point they covered "Come to Daddy" by apex twin and Greg stuck the mic in the crowd. The dreadlocked gentleman next to me and myself grabbed it and ended up screaming through an entire chorus with Greg smiling at us the whole time. It was the second time i have seen them and needless to say it was one of the highlights of any Roo I have attended.

Sooooo yeah, DEP 2013!
So that was you. I wondered who those nuts in the pit screaming into the mic were. I was on the rail to the right, avoiding the blood bath. I didn't want to get my purty dress dirty.

Was on the rail for the whole show as well, and up until Bad Brains last year, was the wildest pit I had ever been in at Bonnaroo.

I was there in 09,love DEP,but wonder what became of the girl that got her nose busted two feet from me by the half case of water Greg threw in the crowd. I believe medical attention may of been necessary, but overall am afraid Roo may not want them back because of it. But I hope I am wrong!!! Bring back DEP, PLEASE!!
So it was that case of water that broke her nose? I thought someone had thrown a punch and hit her. I saw her get pulled out and they were taking her to the back for medical care. She looked pissed.

Yeah,he threw that like an Olympian,I felt bad I couldn't leap thru people and randy moss that shit, but I was in shock he threw that heavy of an object and watched it in slow motion. But I could see the powers that be not letting/wanting DEP back cause if it....unfortunately.
I think the brutality was accidental. That water was instantly being sprayed around and drank and shared by the crowd. Total refresher! If I remember correctly he actually went through like 3 cases. He would open a bottle, take a little drink and toss the rest to us. It was actually pretty thoughtful considering the intensity of their show and the freakin heat in that pit.

It was defiantly accidental and it was great how he was throwing single bottles to share w the crowd,as I believe it was 1pm Sunday buuuuuut the half case at once was a little risky. Lets hope I over analyzed the incident more than the powers that be in accord to the lineup!
