Well actually, your scenario got me wondering if that could be plausible, and it looks like F*cked Up's last show for 2013 is may 30th in London. They could take a quick fly back and get nice and settled. And then rock our faces too weeks after that.
So the dilemma now is, in what order do you put Death Grips, F*cked Up, and TNGHT? I'm thinking F*cked Up goes on 8:30-9:30, Death Grips 10-11:30, and TNGHT 11:45-1.

I went and bought me an outfit today that costed a lot of money today, youknowImean?, 'cause I figured that Wu-Tang was gonna win! I don't know how y'all see it, but when it comes to the children, Wu-Tang is for the children! We teach the children! You know what I mean? Puffy is good, but Wu-Tang is the best! Okay? I want you all to know that this is ODB, and I love you all, peace!"
They were at Orion last year and have made some other appearances. They slowed down for a bit to let Damien concentrate on some other stuff like being a dad for a bit.

Yeah I think it's safe to say A$AP is too big for thursday at this point. He's all over mainstream hip hop radio stations in my area, whom I've never heard play Childish Gambino or Mac Miller.
4/17 Jim James
5/17 Foals
6/8 Tallest Man On Earth
6/11 Local Natives
6/13-16 Bonnaroo
7/6 Bob Dylan, My Morning Jacket, and Wilco
7/12-14 Forecastle
8/15 STS9 and Umphreys McGee
10/25-27 Mountain Oasis
I could definitely still see A$AP being on Thursday.
If so he's closing a tent. Danny Brown opened up for him on his last tour and Danny played Thursday afternoon last year I believe and this was before Long.Live.A$AP.

maybe not late night but two years ago the first band I actually saw on Thursday was the Futurebirds....not sure if anyone digs them or not but they were such a fun way to start the weekend...I'd love to see them back and kick off Roo again...I had so much fun at that show and they were so pumped to be there that they just had a blast for however long their set was

Along the same lines as some of the previous comments, Thursday is definitely a great feature spot for up and coming bands. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. must have had double the crowd of Alice Cooper which is ridiculous. I think everybody's band call-outs are in line with what we can expect. Hoping for Death Grips, Matthew Dear, Nicolas Jaar, El-P
Not sure about everyone else, but in the two years I've gone to Bonnaroo Thursday has been one of the best days, and surprisingly a lot of my major conflicts. In 2011 I managed to see Wavves, Best Coast, part of The Drums, part of Band of Skulls, most of Twin Shadow, a bit of Sleigh Bells, and fell asleep during Deerhunter (sooo frustrated, I was super excited for that set and just couldn't keep my eyes open). Meanwhile, I missed Childish Gambino, The Walkmen, and Freelance Whales. That's a ridiculous amount of awesome bands to choose from. I'm hoping this year will be similar, because choosing which sweet-ass band to see is a problem I do not mind having.

I met the dudes from Shabazz Palaces last night and asked them about any possible festivals they were playing. They said they were playing an ATP and that is all they have set in stone right now. I asked them specifically about Bonnaroo and they said they couldn't say. After seeing them last night I think they'd make a killer Thursday night act.
