All would be beyond awesome; I'm just hoping for 2-3 out of those. I could see a couple of them sneaking out of Thursday territory, but not many (primarily FJM).

Hey guys, I haven't read pages 3-4 of this thread, but keep this in mind...
Not every Thursday band is necessarily a Thursday band. Yeah, Beach House or ElP or Bat for Lashes or whoever isn't necessarily bound for Thursday - but it's probably that or Saturday afternoon or something, and honestly Thursday night's preferable. Last night we had Sleigh Bells and Deerhunter playing Thursday night. Both are bands that have done 'bigger' roles at other festivals, and who could totally have pulled a day show in a tent or maybe even the Which Stage (dispute Which if you will; doesn't matter). The fact is, they likely wouldn't have gotten any slot later than sunset any other day, and in that sense Thursday night is a blessing and the best slot an up-and-coming band could possibly get. In fact, there are a number of bands I've seen at Bonnaroo that I would easily have shifted from midday (especially '09 - Animal Collective, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TVOTR) on Friday to a Thursday night show. And we would have all lived happily ever after.
The TLDR is that often a band that doesn't have to play Thursday sometimes plays Thursday night just because it would be better for everyone if thousands of kids weren't crowding around Sleigh Bells in the afternoon Tennessee heat. So yeah.

Bat for Lashes Civil Twilight Tame Impala Com Truise Maps and Atlases
This works for me really, really nicely.
Yeah same here.
Another one to add I think is Capital Cites. Mentioned just a little while ago in the undercard thread saying I thought they would be a sweet Thursday night set...and I forgot that was a Thursday thread.
Really hoping/thinking this is a possibility now with his new album announcement. Only time I saw him he apparently had food poisoning and was talking about how he threw up like 8 times during the day. And also managed to not play my favorite track from The Year of Hibernation even though it has 8 songs.
I hope Tame Impala isn't too big for Thursday. I'd love to see them close a tent. The last year I went was in 2011 when Sleigh Bells, Deerhunter and The Walkmen all played Thursday. I'd say they're all just as big, if not bigger than Tame Impala.
I looked back a couple pages and didn't see any talk about Imagine Dragons. I know they're on the pinkpop lineup, but I think a Thursday show from them may work. I realize that I'm in the minority here in that I like them and would check it out.
I'm just saying they COULD play Thursday and easily make it to pinkpop for Sunday or maybe even Saturday night.
Imagine Dragons are on the Isle of Wight lineup. It's still possible for them to be at Roo but at this point I also think they're too big for Thursday. All but two of their US shows for their upcoming tour are sold out.

DIIV into Death Grips is what you call a massive change in pace. That being said, I only can't endorse that line-up because of the massive amount of conflicts.

There really is nothing, that I know of at least, that can properly "flow" into Death Grips. MC Ride just kind of gets whatever other music you're listening to and punches it in the face while yelling poetic vulgarities at you. Don't make him take his face off.

You can still try to match the intensity/volume/energy level a little. With your suggestion, flip DIIV and TNGHT. Still different from Death Grips but closer stylistically and crowd wise.
