I find it a little humorous that unc fans are so excited about this ACC Championship game, considering this tournament was deemed meaningless by Roy and the fanbase a few years ago. I think it will be closer than the last matchup, but I think Miami still wins, they have the better team, although that doesn't always mean much.
Also, Maryland would have a much better basketball program if they valued their entire season half as much as they do playing Duke.

The landscape of college ball is this: if your team is really really good, the conference crown means very little (see IU, Duke this year, UK last year). If your team is just good, the conference tournament can be a stepping stone to better things (See Butler in years past).

The Horizon League tournament is always important, ALWAYS.
Edit: Seriously though, I don't understand or believe anyone that says a conference title isn't important to a team (regardless of how "really really good" they are). As a player or coach, you're always amped up to claim something you've been working towards the whole season.

they use it as an excuse if they dont win the conference tourny as well. I should have added that.

Exactly, unc looked like a team that was better than an 8 seed, down the stretch, but they never proved they were better than an 8 seed. They don't have much of a gripe.
There are some seeding issues all over the bracket and the Midwest is stacked compared to the other regions, but brackets are set now, no use complaining, time to win games.

Yep, the Midwest stands out for sure. The East looks tough as well. I think the championship game comes from those two regions.
Kentucky basketball didn't make the NCAA Tournament this year, and there's an explanation for what happened to the team during the selection process. But can you handle the truth?
"I think it's a disgrace and a joke that the NCAA didn't put us in the tournament," explained one Kentucky fan talking to Matt Jones on Kentucky Sports Radio this week. "If you ask me, it's a bunch of liberal socialism that's made its way into sports."
Not all Kentucky fans are this great, but it's important to celebrate the ones who are.
"Laugh all you want," he adds. "But it's the truth. That mindset is creepin its way into everything."
"It ain't nobody's fault, I'm not mad at you," he told the host. "That's just the reality. Maybe you oughta think about what your party is doing to this country."
Truly astounding. Can't imagine this person being real.

I wonder whose fault it is that they couldn't even beat Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT.

I'm not going to pile on UK for this right, although I do find it hilarious.
However, I will be very vocal if things get as ugly as I think they will in the next few months. If the system breaks down and a handful of guys don't leave for the pros, I'm afraid some guys on the team now will be asked to leave the team to make room for the incoming players, regardless whatever bullsh*t official excuse we get. Its been talked about for a while, under the radar, only time will tell if it actually comes to fruition.

Wow. Even if UK would have beat Robert Morris by 40 points yesterday, this guy would still be nuts. I love how he talks about how UK had a second seed in the SEC tournament but doesn't mention at all about how they got bounced in the first round. Also, did he seriously try to look to UK football as an upcoming bright spot?

I'll take LIU and Boise St. tonight, although I admit I know little to nothing about either team, other than LIU is facing a team whose best player is suspended for the first half and Boise St. beat Creighton earlier this year.
