SP/ACE, you should get M4 to Roo 2013. They have been on the Fest scene this past year and these cats will make the Bonnaroo experience better. Just caught their sets at Bear creek and to me, they sound amazing, they look fantastic, they are full of energy, and they put on a show like no other! Check them out.
After seeing all these response to this thread, I find I must bring M4 to all of you. ;D My quest to get M4 to Roo in 2013 is going to be more difficult than previous anticipated, but I know everyone who sees their set will not be disappointed and will be thoroughly pleased! Now for me to find some videos.
I could see these guys rolling through the campground and into Centeroo on thursday afternoon to kick things off and then committing random acts of paradery throughout the festival all weekend.
They led a huge group of us out of the festival grounds on Sunday night at the Echo Project in 2007. It was super magical awesome. A perfect way to close that weekend marching with them back to the campgrounds. I'd love to see them around 'Roo.

I LOVE marching bands like this!!! They would be the perfect addition to the Roo campgrounds and Centeroo. I'd be following right behind them all the way!!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
I missed their set at Bear Creek because we didn't get there in time. They did come by our camp and are super awesome people. This would be a really really fun addition to Roo. Just having them in the camp grounds would be amazing.

I am always a fan of having some bands that put on a spectacle of a live show, and like others have said, the possibilities of what they could do if left to roam free in Centeroo or the campgrounds are pretty amazing.
Wow, this band looks totally awesome! I would love to see them on the farm. Completely fits with the atmosphere of a big old party. I'm going to look into them more. Thanks Scrog!
I will admit I started this thread in a quest to get M4 to Bonnaroo. Thank you guys for checking them out, they will not disappoint! I would not do this with any ole band. They sound great, but they also put on a fun, funking, fantastic, fabulous, show. I looked at some videos and the vibe and fun does not translate the best, but this one I like ;D, Click-----> M4, to see some Funkyness!
I am hoping the right people come into this thread for band ideas for Bonnaroo 2013. I hope they do not confuse M4 with the March Madness Marching Band out of Lexington. I am sure they are great but M4 is what we want.
signed. I passed out on thursday before their late night show at bear creek, but I caught their set on friday. Very fun show.
Thursday night show was a lot of fun. The barn was a jammin'! That Friday show was like at 2pm in the Afternoon, which mean way too early for me, but even at that early hour there was one crazy party going on!

SP/ACE, do not take my word for it, listen to Jambase
"Even the most seasoned concertgoer is going to come back from any festival worth its salt loving a previously unknown act that came out of left field. MarchFourth Marching Band wins the honors on Jam Cruise 11. The Portland, Oregon-based ensemble fuses a drum line foundation with funky, NOLA-style horn arrangements and a theatrical execution that makes the folks at Cirque du Soleil look like a bunch of awkward prudes. In addition to excellent musicianship, MarchFourth Marching Band threw down dancers on stilts, costumes that pop, solid choreography and a whole lot of booty shaking. MarchFourth is the poster child for the “Party of the Year” Ivan Neville was talking about."

M4 story for the day. I was at the Kangaroo, I was pumping gas, and in the truck the M4 CD was spinning, with their sounds flowing, i see the guy on the other side of the pump moving to the M4 beat. When he got done putting gas in his car, he poked his head around the pump, "Man what is that you are listening to?" "March Forth Marching Band." I reply. "I love it with that jazz sound!" He says as he bobs his head to the bass. "They are out of Portland, Oregon, and they are full of that New Orleans Funk." "Yeah, I dig it!" He says, as he smiles and then dances away, gets in his town car and drives off .
Hey Ashley Capps, M4 connecting starngers at the pump since 2003. Bonnaroo will love M4!
Happy Cake Day! SP/ACE, you all should book these cats, there is still time, you will be happy that you did or at least many of us will. I would love to see M4 on the Farm this year!
