Alice in Chains makes sense. They always have something for the mouth breathers.
AIC quacking rules. Where you born in the 90's or something?
Are you really going to bat for the version of Alice in Chains that currently exists? I can't stand bands that continue to tour after one or more essential members dies or quits.

He knows, guys. He still enjoys their music though and enjoyed AiC 2.0's set at bayfest in '07. I have not seen it so I have no opinion on this matter.
However, I did enjoy the Asian, pants-stuffing, Steve-Perry-less version of Journey's set at bayfest this year. Does that make me a mouth breather?
Sometimes the music lives on and not everyone is completely disappointed about it.
At least AiC aren't complete f'n hacks like Eric Clapton.

I can't believe I'm still defending a negative comment about AIC '12, but I feel like I should clarify the mouth breather business. The current version of AIC has been playing places like Bayfest and Rock on the Range, where the audience is heavily made up of the kind of aggro-dudes who listen to "active rock" radio and tailgate heavily whenever Skynyrd passes through the local shed. If that last sentence doesn't describe you, then ignore the mouth breather comment.
Beale Street always has a Godsmack or two on the lineup, and it looks like AIC is taking one of those spots this year.
You were totally on target, Pd. Look at past line-ups. They've always catered to the fleshy banana-rock, backhair-metal crowd. Just read some of the dreadful desired acts suggested by the old regulars on their FB page... "Who the hell is My Morning Wood, where's my Nickleback add??" Mouthbreathers was the proper terminaology.

There's no need to defend your comment. I agree with it and it was relevant. But the real point is that Beale St. music fest is really not that much of a step up from Bayfest and Rock on the Range. They just happened to get MMJ last year. And we all know how everyone here is in love with that band.
I was just making the point that lumping AiC into the mouth breather bands is too borderline and maybe they don't deserve that flogging. The music is still enjoyable live according to caddy even with the new guys.
