Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I went over to the Coachella board (yeah, I'm not sure why either) and saw someone posted this. Looks like Bonnaroo MIGHT be in the plans for Divine Fits.
Yea someone posted that here and there was speculation as to whether that was for Divine Fits or for Spoon who are supposedly working on a new album....not sure where to put that.
Gotcha. Didn't remember seeing it, then after my post I looked at CoS' Festival Outlook and there they were. Sorry y'all.
I'm on a roll today in getting emails back. Here is one from Glen Hansard of The Swell Season and The Frames' manager:
"The Roo might happen. Not sure yet. If so might just be that one show. Not sure. New music from Glen at some point but not sure if it'll make later this year or next.
That's about all I got at this time.
Best, HOward"
Sounds like it's open right now. Definitely not a denial though. On a side note, I've seen him ten times live. He puts on the best live show I've ever seen.
I don't know if you want to list my post from last week about Airborne Toxic Event? Their manager said "we are working on it". If for no other reason than just to make sure no one else bugs them?
EDIT: After yesterday's discussion I'm not going to post screen shots anymore to protect the people disclosing info. ITM I am happy to email or PM you the screenshots if you want.
From A Silent Film's management, "We are not confirmed for Bonnaroo at this time, however it is something we are pursuing, which part of the country are you in?".
It's a maybe, sounds like they definitely want to be there.

Some of those kind of responses I always go back and forth on whether to include them or not. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It's weird but the wording affects things I guess....I can add them to something....any time I skip over a response that seems iffy people can just ask about it here (like you did) just in case I missed it or something.
Last year I emailed a ton of bands and found out things like Foster the People plus a ton of denials. I hope I have enough credibility to not have to post screenshots this time around haha. Anyway, first thing I got isn't really a surprise:

A month ago I posted a direct quote from a Thievery Corp band member saying Roo was not in the cards. Should I get him to sign a note, or should someone else confirm this?

Aren't you friends with them or something (IIRC)? Can you inquire about Coachella?

Good idea. I just sent it out. I think Lolla would be more likely if its a one off, since they are based in DC, and are tight with Perry. Ill let ya know when I know.

Gotcha, only asking cause of their Ultra appearance.
The email for Deadmau5 turned out to be full but here's my general template:
Heya,
I'm trying to decide between going to Sasquatch and Bonnaroo this year as it's the last fun thing I get to do before giving birth lol. Deadmau5 playing either would clinch the decision for me, as I caught his tent show at Roo in 2010 and haven't been able to see that wondrous spectacle since. I kinda want him to be the final tunes my little girl hears in the womb! I'll dance from a safe distance of course lol. So I'm wondering if you have any info as to whether he's playing either fest this year or not. I'd appreciate a reply either way. Thanks so much!

Is Sasha a real person? Or are you straight up lying to booking agents?

You should see more concerts, then. Nothing against the Frames (their show at Bonnaroo 2005 was one of the most underrated Bonnaroo performances ever) or Glen Hansard, but really? What else do you listen to? What other bands have you seen live? I'm genuinely interested in this.
I think it's mighty presumptuous to assume that I don't see other concerts. I go to live shows all the time. If you want a list, I can supply it.
The Avett Brothers (x2), Mumford & Sons (x2), Damien Rice, Rufus Wainwright, Ben Folds (x3), Ben Folds Five, Guster, Paul McCartney (x2), Glen Hansard (x10), Josh Ritter, Bono, Arcade Fire, The Head & The Heart (x2), Bon Iver (x2), Thievery Corporation, Frightened Rabbit (x2), Death Cab For Cutie, She & Him, Kanye West, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, NERD, Nas, fun., Alabama Shakes, Radiohead, Blind Guardian, Childish Gambino, Joe Pug, The Low Anthem, Justin Townes Earle (x2), Kate Miller-Heidke, Mark Geary, Mika, Missy Higgins, Punch Brothers, The Tallest Man on Earth, Flight of the Conchords, Foster The People, Lisa Hannigan, Jovanotti, Gorillaz, The Decemberists, Dawes, Iron & Wine, Cadillac Sky, Colin Hay, Ryan Bingham, Matt & Kim, Paddy Casey, Old Crow Medicine Show, Scissor Sisters, Freelance Whales, Justin Timberlake, Pink, The Beach Boys, Eminem, Mundy, King Charles, Natalie Merchant, The Black Keys, Robert Plants, The Strokes, Fall Out Boy (awful), Alison Krauss, Amos Lee, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Buffalo Springfield, Bruce Springsteen, Phish, The Roots, RHCP, Kendrick Lamar, Blind Pilot, and Regina Spektor.
I'm a firm believer in going to see someone repeatedly if you really like them. I want to support my favorite bands.

She's an invention. I'm posing as a fan who is pregnant. I apologize to anyone who would be offended by that haha. I am only sharing the info with this and the Sasquatch board and am not posting screenshots. I'm not pretending to be a booking agent or anyone other than a fan looking for info on what fest to go to, which I am. The pregnant thing just helps grab their attention. Take it for what you will.
