Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Me and Abra met Bonnaroo Chris at Roo last year. He seemed like a nice guy to us. I can't hate on a guy who gives new people info on roo's facebook since a) I do it too and b) Roo doesn't.
for some reason, theres a lot of elitist mentality on this board in the recent months. Since I've joined this is 2010, I've seen more bullying in the last couple of months than ever before. Kinda sad. Lets stick to the topic at hand... Not saying keep it boring, but lets not get off topic for 5 pages bullying some dude that cant even defend himself because hes not here.
I have been thinking the same exact thing. It's really not the majority of the posters on here, but there are a handful of posters that seem to just flame others, while rarely ever contributing anything worthwhile themselves. It is for the most part only in TML.

Just emailed Macklemore's booking agent, asking if he'd be at Bonnaroo or Sasquatch because I'm trying to decide which fest to go to (thanks gabfrab for the idea), his response:
"assume both and your decision is no easier"
Kind of a confirmation, but I guess still up for interpretation...
Really like how the undercard is shaping up...Pretty Lights, Passion Pit, Grizzly Bear, Tama Impala, Of Monster and Men. Pretty bummed that Kayne is looking strong and Jack White is out.

What evidence is there that Kanye is looking good?
And I'm pretty sure iamthehorn was trolling about the Kanye email.
It's the open for interpretation section, sounds pretty strong they will be there. I hope so on the Kayne, am going to have to better on picking up on trolling.
I have always just sent tweets to bands and it while most bands do not respond a good number do. Dale Jr Jr, Black Lips, Grizzly Bear, Titus Andronicus, and a few others tweeted me back last year. I say keep it to to twitter. A lot of bands will message you instead of retweeting for the world to see.

I wasn't aware of that response from an employee. No more emails from me. It was good while it lasted!
I am with cpk. I think tweets and facebook wall posts are alright since they are out in the open and are more or less contacting the artists. The emails seemed to be where it crossed the line.
No No gabfrab, none of that was meant for you. Just meant we were gonna stop, by all means you keep doing what you do haha.
I don't want to hurt their business by doing something they've now labeled unethical, but mostly I don't want to get in any kind of trouble with them haha. You hear that AC, I'm willingly stopping right now! I will post the responses I got from emails already out, but am sending no more. I honestly had already sent everything I could think of anyway. In regards to Why?:
Unfortunately, we're not playing either this year. We really tried for Bonnaroo, but it just didn't quite work out.

I think it is fun to get a confirmation from an artist via a tweet or after a show. That is how we have always done it. And it gives us enough to keep us going until the line-up drop. Maybe they'll give us a little clue assistance, so as to calm the rabid. :-)
I think it just crossed the line from shaking the presents under the tree, to unwrapping them and then trying to re-wrap them. Which ends badly for everyone.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
