was supposed to see her the night she got arrested. they said they would reschedule but they sent us an email this week saying that it was just cancelled now. boooooooo
I saw her in Charlotte last Sept., a week after she was arrested in Texas, and she QUACKING KILLED IT. She was super on edge and stressed out, flipped out on her band for not helping her keep track of the setlist, and so forth. She was hitting rock bottom and converting that "I'm being crushed by the entire weight of the world" desperation into energy and emotion that was so intense and real it was unbelievable. It wasn't the most fun, wild, or breathtaking show I've ever seen, but it was by far the most emotionally affecting and probably my all-time favorite show for that reason, plus it was in the middle of the week in Charlotte, completely unexpected. It felt like having a really deep, serious, cathartic conversation with your best friend. Any time I think about it I get chills.

Fiona is one of my all time favorites and the only time we have seen her she did a split show with Nickel Creek. so that was a little different than a real Fiona show . she is super intense though. we had tickets to see her last year at the Ryman and we weren't able to go still waiting for the chance.
