You guys are all crazy. I don't care how much you dislike them, they are absolutely KILLER live. There's no political ranting between every song. They do everything they can to make it such an energetic and audience-interactive experience. And they played for three hours when I saw them in 09, when a band like them could easily wimp out and do 90 minutes.
I would actually say Green Day is the best live band I've ever seen. Yes, even more than Radiohead and MMJ. Just give them a chance (if they are at Roo).
Before that though, let me go grab my flame shield.
Upcoming shows:

4/27 - STS9

5/8 - Phoenix

To be fair, they would be an improvement over RHCP in my book.
If all of them seem psyched to play Roo and really work the crowd, I can see your point. Flea was the only one from RHCP that seemed like he wanted to be there.
I'm not going to wax nostalgic and talk about how I'd like them to play older material, and just simply say no.....no...and no I don't want them on the farm.
If they played Dookie in its entirety I would be okay with this. If they are going to play American Idiot, 21 Guns, or Do You Know Your Enemy... no thanks.

I'm not a Green day fan, but I kind of like his reaction in the clip. I don't think this would have any factor in Bonnaroo booking them and I don't blame him for being upset about his bands set being cut in half. It goes well with the punk image they are trying to regain. I've heard only positive things about their sets at the European festivals this year. I'd probably give their set a shot if they were on the farm.
April 12-14th - Indio, CA - Coachella Weekend 1
May 3-5th - Memphis, TN - Beale St. Music Festival
June 13-16th - Manchester, TN - Bonnaroo
July 12-14th - Louisville, KY - Forecastle Festival
August 2-4th - Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
September 27-29th - Atlanta, GA - TomorrowWorld
October 25-27th - Asheville, NC - Mountain Oasis
He's entering rehab, and they are cancelling some appearances. That would be one strange publicity stunt. Remember, he also got hospitalized in Italy earlier this year.
