Much like the Beach Boys, I say NAY! Give me a super duo Waters/Plant 4 hour extravaganza with a full band that mixes Floyd and Zeppelin and great covers ranging from Rage to Beatles. DO IT.
I think they should do everything they can to get them, but it seems like this could be the Stones last tour...so it will be huge, and I just don't know if Bonnaroo is a big enough venue for them.
They do have ties to the area though. Some of their biggest hits were recorded in Muscle Shoals.
^Figures. I was actually fortunate enough to catch them in 2005 (even more special because it was with my father who I lost in October). Maybe they'll come through Dallas and I can catch these guys one last time. Very cool for Glastonbury. Easily will be one of the most historic sets of it's long history!

If I'm not mistaken, Glastonbury is towards the end of June. If this will indeed be their last tour, I could see AC/Superfly making a big play for them. With this year not selling out it would nice for them to have an act that would help greatly in locking up a sellout.

Because the Rolling Stones can do it if Radiohead can't? uhhh

Are you saying that Radiohead is more likely to make a sellout than the Stones? I disagree
BTW - did y'all hear about the Radiohead stage collapsing in Canada? Luckily is was before the concert, but still, one stage hand was killed.

He wasn't a stage hand, he was Radiohead's drum tech, which means he tours with them and isn't just a hired hand for the day. It's a pretty major loss for them. Other key crew members were badly hurt also.

I'd love to see this happen, but it seems so unlikely. I think they're too big for festivals the size of Roo. They need something Glastonbury sized. I know there are a lot of detractors, but it's a bucket-list type situation for me. I love the Stones and next year will be my last chance to ever see them.
Out of all my heroes from the 60's, the only two I've ever gotten to see live is Paul (which was probably my favorite show of all time) and now The Beach Boys. Since I missed The Wall tour last week I started a new savings account solely for bucket-list acts. It's for The Stones, Waters, Gilmour, Santana, Clapton, etc. before they die. I'll admit I'd probably dip into it for Daft Punk too just bc I likely won't have the cash on hand when they announce a tour again, even though I've already seen them. But back to the main point, I would love to see the Stones on the farm, but the odds seem slim to none

To foot the bill they could double the price of VIP in 2013 and it would probably sell out faster than ever. Stones fans aren't afraid of spending money.
