Is it true that he gets asked to play every year, but there's always some reason why he won't?
I read in an interview he did a few years ago that he always gets asked to headline Glastonbury but for whatever reasons he says no. Plus he was really ticked off when they unofficially added him on there 2011 lineup ... not sure if he was ever asked to do Bonnaroo tho
I find it crazy that someone on here said Daft Punk would headline over Prince. Anyways, it would be fun if he came to the farm, but isn't he mentioned every year on these boards?

Both would headline. Obviously one would be billed higher than the other on the lineup, but both would draw a headlining crowd. He's mentioned, yes, and I know that they've tried to get him before, but it's never materialized.

Holy shit I just looked at this set list, I'm not sure if I'd be so excited I'd be crying or wet my damn pants! Has he played a US festival recently? I see he does them in Europe...

Prince Announces Chicago Residency
Prince is bringing his "Welcome 2" residency to Chicago. The series of shows kicks off on September 24 at the Union Center; how long it'll go for hasn't been revealed yet, but tickets will go on sale on September 6. This marks Prince's first performances in Chicago since 2004
god I hope he plays bonnaroo, the first ticket sale for Chicago is for a monday night at the United Center. First, that venue sucks ! Second, I have class monday night. And Bonnaroo is the only venue I would like to see him play.
The Colonial Center here last year didn't sell nearly as well as I'm guessing most hoped... many venues ended up giving away better seats to certain ticketholders. I, for one, got a 50 dollar upgrade in my tickets, 15 rows away from the stage. Half-full house or not, Prince still put on one of the very best concerts I've ever attended, and easily the best I've ever seen in an arena. Even if you are only vaguely familiar with his hits, go see him if he comes near you, you won't regret it.
