Also saw Andrew Daly, Principal Cutler from Eastbound & Down. He had a camera crew with him Thursday night I believe as I was making my way back to camp. I should have taken a photo but I was too tired to think.

The Dans were awesome, I got to walk over and get them to bring them to brunch. I had drunkenly invited them on facebook a few weeks earlier. They are really nice down to earth dudes, they actually rented a car so they could stay all weekend and see the shows after they were done playing.

Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes was everywhere this weekend! I caught Fly Golden Eagle (AMAZING, btw) on Sunday and saw her to the side of the stage bobbing her head. About halfway through the set she hopped up on a mic and sang backup for a chorus. Then she went into the front row of the crowd and rocked out. I saw her take a pull off of some guy's flask. After the show we went and talked to her for a few minutes. Very very friendly. She told us that Fly Golden Eagle was her favorite band! Super happy I found out about them on this board. Made for one of my favorite moments of the weekend.
EDIT - Also, just remembered, I saw Ben Folds riding around the grounds on a golf cart on Sunday as well. No one else seemed to notice him but he gave me a wave when I yelled!
I met Rhys Darby when they opened the West Toll Booth on Wednesday. He left my roommate a voicemail and was a genuinely cool guy. I saw him again in the pit for Radiohead. He went in with the VIPs and quickly moved to the back when he saw the crowd running in.
I also was hanging with Kurt Vile a little. His little brother is a friend of mine and comes to Roo with us, Kurt dropped by Sunday after his show. Awesome dude.

Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai came and hung out at the fountain after their set, he signed my Nasa hat and my friends 5 dollar bill, also took a picture with me!
McLovin was across the pit divide from me for The Shins. I didn't say anything, but the people behind me must have yelled "MCLOVIN!!" about a dozen times per song at him.
Sunday while walking around centeroo i Deffinetly walked up on a impromptu concert from the soul rebels my buddy and i jammed out while they played and when it was over we walked up and shook the tuba player's hand and being from louisiana and already having seen them in new orleans we told them we really enjoyed the show and we felt like we were at home. Then while at the Mac Miller show we decided to jump into the pit and while standing in the back we noticed a girl with a yellow wristband , she introduced herself as Lea and then gave me her drink saying she didnt want it and that it was a vodka and cranberry , we finished the mac miller show and turned around and she was gone , no idea who she was but i deffinetly scored a free drink
I met Judah as well. He was there to marry a couple near pod 2. My hubby and I hung out with the newlyweds for a while walking from camp and at Phish. Glad they had such an amazing wedding and Bonnaroo, wish I had caught the ceremony. I heard it was hilarious.

Saw the guys from Black Lips tooling around in a cart on Sunday on my way back to camp, they hopped off at pod 7 and were taking some pictures. Told them they put on a great show that morning, they yelled an appreciative THANKS!! then hopped back on and tore off on that cart.

I was camped by Applebutter Express all week/weekend - hung out with them in almost all my free time - good people! Also had a run-in with Cubbie Fink of Foster the People at the Silent Disco.
Also, I noticed a lot more artists out and about at shows (lots of yellow wristbands in the VIP pit at Which and in the early day What pit slots)
That was because they gave the yellow (artist) wristband to supervisors and other staff members. They really reduced the variety of passes this year for staff. No one had a lanyard pass this year (except for a few site ops guys, and they were attached to their belts), and they used the "artist" wristband for a lot more than just artists.
McLovin was across the pit divide from me for The Shins. I didn't say anything, but the people behind me must have yelled "MCLOVIN!!" about a dozen times per song at him.
Poor guy.
On the way out of the Radiohead pit, some dudes were talking about standing next to him during the show.

This year I did not. Last year I saw the dudes from the show workaholics just walking around the festival. I followed them around a few minutes, but I was too embarrassed to say anything. It was funny though cuz nobody seemed to recognize them at all. I think that show is hilarious.
There was a character actor that I recognized hanging at the back of the pit for Kenny Rogers. I cannot for the life of me remember where I've seen him before, though. He looked kind of like David Paymer but younger with a full head of hair. He was wearing a black windbreaker. Anybody else see/recognize him?
