Adele will never headline Bonnaroo, so let's stop arguing over her placement. She falls into that "too expensive, not a huge draw for our crowd" category. Sure, she's huge, but how many potential Bonnaroo-ers would rather see her over Muse or Jack White?
And Adele's huge because her demographic is emotional middle-aged white women...who probably aren't gonna attend the Roo.
I've seen a lot of people mention Macca. Is there any basis behind that prediction, or are we just really hoping for that? I remember there was that interview in which a European festival said he was booked at an American festival, but was that proven to be untrue?

Just a question, did anyone see Adele that time she did play Bonnaroo? Did everyone just boo and throw bong water on her and complain how un-Bonnaroo she was? Did she call Phil Lesh a mean name? Just wondering why Bonnaroo wouldn't want her back.

As of 2012, Adele has sold over ten million copies of her album 21. That means the album went Diamond, making 21 the 21st album in the Soundscan Era (since 1991) to achieve that level of sales. Pretty impressive, especially in this era of overall low music sales.
The linked article also has some interesting statistics about music sales in 2012. Apparently they were quite good overall, with yet another significant uptick in vinyl sales. I think there is a trend toward the convenience of buying digital music, as opposed to the inconvenience of stealing music. Its easier just to shell out the $10 on iTunes than find a torrent site, worry about viruses etc., at least for the more casual music buyer. Sites like iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, etc make it so easy to buy music, why steal it?
that might have been a little rambly, i'm tired. anyway adele will never headline bonnaroo. she cool though.
Surely Bonnaroo isn't going to book Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic AND Mumford as headliners. That's one headliner from 2010, one from 2011 and also a semi-headliner from 2011. They'd have to throw some big and/or newer names between these so it won't seem like they're recycling recent ideas.
Last year would've been the time to get Pearl Jam with PJ20, but some might argue it's too close to 2008. Either way, I would welcome a Pearl Jam show.

I could watch those cats play ping pong all day!
Rumor on the Panic front is Sunday headliner fell through. And Panic is pickin up the pieces! Sunday headliner and possible late night. NOW WAIT before anyone starts complaining check out some videos from NYE in charlotte this year. Panic is back from hiatus playing better than they have since mikey passed. The most psychedelic jams I've heard them play with a new crazy ass light set up too. When they play this year it will be the best Panic Roo shows since 2002

hi·a·tus (h-ts) n. pl. hi·a·tus·es or hiatus 1. A gap or interruption in space, time, or continuity; a break: "We are likely to be disconcerted by . . . hiatuses of thought" (Edmund Wilson). 2. Linguistics A slight pause that occurs when two immediately adjacent vowels in consecutive syllables are pronounced, as in reality and naive. 3. Anatomy A separation, aperture, fissure, or short passage in an organ or body part.
Funny thing a hiatus has no defined length of time.
