its from a realiable source who has nothing to lie about, I dont know how to react right now Im so excited, I think we got Macca.
There's a difference between something being lied about intentionally, or a rumor sprouting from a series of "lost-in-translation" type of situations or situations where things get misinterpreted and then re-reported.
I just don't want anyone to get their hopes up and be destroyed if it doesn't come true. He's fantastic live and we should all hope we get him, but it's too early.
FWIW, my father has seen him perform dozens of times. The first time I saw Macca perform was at Yankee Stadium a couple of years ago. My dad looked at the setlists of previous shows on that tour and said "this is the same show that I've seen the past couple of times. I don't think I'm going."
But he ended up buying a ticket and going and sitting with random people since he could only get a solo seat and he walked away fully reinvigorated in Macca. My father was always a bigger Lennon fan, but at a certain point in every Macca concert two things happen:
First, you stop singing and dancing for 5 seconds and go "holy sh*t....that's a f*cking Beatle."
Second, you stop caring how many times you've seen a song performed, or how much you even like it, and just soak it in. Macca LOVES performing, no matter what he says that's his one true love and what he's truly married to. Being on the stage and leading tens of thousands of people in sing-alongs is what he was put on this planet to do and if it happens at Bonnaroo I'm just going to float off into heaven fully content that life isn't going to get better than that, only approach it a handful of times.
Geez, way to make the rest of feel like jerks. "After I donate my kidney to a friend in need, I'll still make the effort to go Bonnaroo and see all my friends even though I'm not crazy about the lineup this year."
Woah. God I hope this isn't BS, but it really, really, really seems legit.
I'm hoping so too. Ya never know though. Maybe they got the translation wrong and he's doing something in the U.S. but not necessarily a festival? I would be extremely happy if Paul was our headliner but I hate getting my hopes up....especially this far out.
